Befrienders Highland provides befriending services in the Highlands of Scotland working with a wide-spread group of volunteers and people experiencing mental health issues across this diverse area.

About the Role
Hosted by Scottish Care, the Joint National Lead will provide national leadership for the PFI programme, working across Scotland’s Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs), national bodies and key stakeholders.
The postholder will:
- Provide strategic leadership to the PFI network of Independent Sector Leads across Scotland
- Act as a key national connector between independent care providers, Scottish Government, NHS Boards, Local Authorities and third sector partners
- Influence policy and practice to ensure that the independent sector plays a central and equal role in integration and reform
- Support the development of innovative models of care, new pathways and system transformation
- Champion the voice of the sector, ensuring it reflects the experiences of providers, workforce, people supported and unpaid carers
- Evidence the impact of the PFI programme in improving outcomes, quality and sustainability
About You
We are seeking individuals who bring:
- Significant leadership experience at a senior level within health, social care or related systems
- A strong understanding of health and social care integration in Scotland, including policy and operational realities
- Proven ability to influence at national and system level, engaging effectively with government, regulators and partners
- Exceptional communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to human rights-based, person-led care and ethical system transformation
- Experience working with or within the independent social care sector will be advantageous.

Resource Planning Manager

As the Resource Planning Manager, you are responsible for understanding how work is carried out across the Trust. This includes looking at activities, processes, projects and programmes to make sure the right people and resources are available when needed.
Your main focus at the start will be on the Delivery directorate. In this area, you will design a clear and practical resource management approach that helps managers plan and use resources more effectively.
You will also work with teams across the whole Trust. Your role is to make sure each team receives the support and resources they need in a timely and efficient way, so that work can be completed smoothly and without unnecessary delays.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop clear and practical processes and procedures that support teams in sharing resources effectively. This means making sure people, skills and tools can be used across different programmes and teams in a coordinated and efficient way, helping to avoid gaps or duplication.
- Lead on embedding the Access Resource Planner across the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. You will act as the main point of contact for the system and support others in using it effectively, helping to ensure it becomes a trusted and widely used tool.
- Designing simple and effective processes that reduce waste, improve efficiency, and minimise delays caused by resources not being used well. This will help projects run more smoothly and avoid common challenges that slow progress.
- Track and report on how resources are used. By looking at past decisions and identifying patterns or trends, you will support better planning and forecasting for future projects.
- Design and put into place a clear resource management framework. This framework will guide how resources are planned, allocated and reviewed, helping teams work in a more coordinated and consistent way across the Trust.
This role would be ideal someone who likes bringing structure and clarity to complex work and enjoys understanding how different pieces fit together. It would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively across teams, and feels motivated by improving how things are organised so that work runs smoothly and efficiently.

Family Support Worker (Caithnesss)

- Hybrid: predominantly working from home (laptop will be provided). There is also an expectation of travel within the assigned locality area as part of service delivery and attendance at annual team days in Inverness.

Family Support Workers provide one-to-one holistic, information, advice and support to families across Highland via phone/email/online, supporting and enabling them to improve their lives by building their confidence, empowering them to recognise their personal expertise and value, implement practical support strategies, access services, know their rights, and have their voices heard.
Each Family Support Worker will also have a specific locality remit as detailed earlier: for 1) face-to-face support activities in collaboration with local organisations and communities and 2) building relationships with local partners and communities to a) improve our reach and impact and b) identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration to effectively meet local needs within the resource available.
Family Support Workers are working towards the following outcomes for families:
