Home-Start Edinburgh is looking for a relationship-driven, proactive and commercially minded Corporate Partnerships Manager to help grow income and impact through businesses across Edinburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape a corporate partnerships function with real scope to influence how the role develops. We are looking for someone who can identify opportunities, open doors, build trust and convert conversations into meaningful support for families with young children.
The role will focus strongly on new business: building a robust pipeline, developing compelling propositions, securing new supporters and leading the rollout of our Friends of Edinburgh scheme as an accessible route for local businesses to get involved. Over time, as new partners come on board, the role will also grow into a broader account management and partnership growth portfolio.

What you will do
- Develop and deliver a practical corporate partnerships plan focused on new income growth.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects across Edinburgh’s business community.
- Create and pitch compelling partnership opportunities for businesses of different sizes and types.
- Lead the development and rollout of Friends of Edinburgh as part of our wider new business approach.
- Secure new support through partnerships, sponsorship, employee fundraising, volunteering, events, gifts in kind and other relevant routes.
- Build excellent relationships with supporters and, over time, help grow and deepen those partnerships.
Who we are looking for
- Someone with experience in corporate fundraising, business development, sales, account management, sponsorship or partnerships.
- Someone who is confident building relationships externally and can combine warmth, credibility and persistence.
- Someone who enjoys creating opportunities from scratch and is comfortable working strategically as well as hands-on.
- Someone who can write and speak persuasively, tailor approaches to different audiences and keep momentum in a varied pipeline.
- Someone who is motivated by purpose and excited by the chance to help shape a growing area of work.
You do not need to come from the charity sector to apply.

About the Role
The CEO is responsible for implementing our strategic plan, which enables support to over 400 families a year through 1:1 and group work support. You will manage a team of staff and work collaboratively with partners to ensure families in Edinburgh get the right support at the right time. You will also work alongside Home-Start Edinburgh’s trustees to ensure the organisation is well governed, and participate in the Home-Start network both within Scotland and the UK.

Project Officer – Child Maintenance

One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) is the national charity for single parent families and this programme is about changing what is possible.
This role will be instrumental in the development, operational management and delivery of a national child maintenance support programme, ensuring effective coordination across partner organisations, delivery of specialist support to families, practitioner capacity-building, and development of national learning.
The Project officers will deliver front line services and advice relating to the project , while working closely with the Senior Child Maintenance Officer based at Fife Gingerbread who leads practice development and practitioner training.

We are seeking a Team Leader to coordinate and deliver high-quality, self-directed play opportunities across Midlothian. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining practical delivery with day-to-day coordination and line management of a small team.
About Play Midlothian
Play Midlothian is a registered charity (no. SC025474) working to enable every child in Midlothian to thrive through play by creating opportunities, removing barriers and addressing inequalities. We have an office base at the One Dalkeith Business Hub in central Dalkeith, but deliver services throughout Midlothian, and if commissioned, beyond.
About the Role
On appointment, the postholder will lead Out2Play, using the play rangers model of delivery to enable children to play out in greenspaces close to their homes.
The postholder will also staff other sessions run by Play Midlothian. We champion adventurous, self-directed play, with a focus on loose parts, and use varied community settings to create rich play opportunities. A high proportion of sessions take place outdoors, all year round.
Travel and transportation of play resources to multiple sites across Midlothian is required for successful delivery of our services. Most sessions take place after school hours and at weekends, with some during the school day, so flexibility is required, though we do aim to share out weekend working on a rota pattern so that everyone gets predictable weekends off.
This role would suit someone with playwork, youth work or family support experience who is ready to step into frontline management — or an existing manager looking for a values-led, varied, community-based role.

About Aberlour Sycamore Children’s Houses
Aberlour Sycamore Services’ vision is to provide warm, loving homes for children where everyone learns, laughs, grows into their future and is treasured always. At any one time, the residential houses within Sycamore require additional support to help to maintain stability and balance within the teams. Sycamore services are widely recognised in Scotland for providing a range of quality therapeutic residential houses for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the country. The Service is a national resource and as such receives referrals from throughout Scotland.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for individuals who can integrate seamlessly into our existing team, working alongside it and relief adults to support excellent service delivery. We are looking for a Residential Worker to work 18.75 hours per week to work within our home in Glenrothes. You will work as part of a residential rota including early, late, sleepovers and weekend shifts. You will have a knowledge and understanding of the importance of attachment, trauma and how this can impact on an individual’s development. At times our children express their distress through their behaviour and the role can be emotionally and physically challenging; we are therefore looking for someone who is resilient, understands that behaviour is a means of communication and is trauma responsive.
You will be skilled in building therapeutic relationships with the children, young people and young adults to enable them to feel safe, loved and cared for.
You must have the ability to quickly build your relationships with the adults within the house. The nature of the role is such that you could be working to cover a shift or longer periods as required, including days and wakened nightshifts and you may also be supporting young people to attend school or participate in other learning programmes. You must therefore be able to quickly adapt to the working environment within each house.
You will be comfortable with working within Aberlour’s culture embracing respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. Demonstration of these qualities will be particularly important in this role given that you will be dipping in and out of the different teams. You must be able to be an exceptional role model for other staff and the young person.
Undertaking the role of Residential Worker will afford you the opportunity to develop and build on a range of transferrable skills which are valued in a range of employment. You will be able to demonstrate excellent flexibility and adaptability with exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with different teams and different children, young people and young adults living within our Sycamore Houses.
