About the Role

This is a key position within WSDCS, responsible for delivering high quality finance and administrative support. You will:

• Set budgets and maintain accurate financial records & reporting systems
• Work closely with the Team Lead and Board of Trustees
• Support the wider programme of activities for families
• Ensure compliance with statutory, organisational and audit requirements
• Contribute to the effective running of a small, friendly and committed team

About You

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in strong systems and is confident working both independently and collaboratively. We are looking for an energetic, organised and proactive professional who brings:

• Finance expertise and strong administrative capability
• Excellent communication, ICT and organisational skills
• Confidence using digital tools – experience with Xero, Excel and CRM systems is an advantage
• An HND level qualification in Finance, Administration or equivalent experience
• An interest in fundraising, bids or grant management (beneficial but not essential)
• A team focused attitude and willingness to support occasional group activities and events

We've got a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced SVQ Assessor to join us covering SVQ assessment across Scotland on a part-time, permanent basis. (3 days per week)

Our Assessor role is based in one of our West of Scotland offices (Irvine, Dumbarton, Glasgow or Airdrie) as part of our hybrid flexible working model. We will also need you to have flexibility to travel across Scotland when required.

The Role

As part of our Training Academy, you’ll play a key role in qualifying our social care workforce and supporting our team of SVQ Assessors in our Qualifications Scotland (formally SQA) Approved Centre which has been in operation since 1998. You will assess portfolios for the Social Services and Healthcare qualifications at SCQF levels 6, 7 and also ideally Core Skills, Business & Administration and PDA in Supervision awards.

You’ll be responsible for prioritising your own workload and planning your week to enable you to assess candidates through technology (eportfolio, MS teams) as well as providing some face to face support. You will work with candidates from induction to award completion, using your initiative to support them to meet Qualifications Scotland standards, agreed deadlines and organisational KPI’s.

You’ll be a key part of our experienced Assessor team helping ensure our excellent reputation of Cornerstone as an Qualifications Scotland provider is maintained for both our internal and external stakeholders.

To be an amazing Assessor we'll need you to bring;

• Experience of assessing candidates across different SCQF levels working in health & social care
• Extensive health and social care experience
• Confident use of technology (eportfolios, MS teams, Microsoft suite)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the individual needs of candidates and assessors
• Strong interpersonal, networking and facilitation skills
• An in-depth knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards, SSSC Codes of Practice, SSSC Registration requirements.
• An SVQ qualification in assessment i.e.L&D9DI A1 or D33
• An SVQ (or equivalent) qualification in social care at SCQF 7 or above

We are looking to appoint practitioners to join our growing team within our Adult Services here at Donaldsons, on a permanent, part time basis. We currently have 2 positions available on the following hours:

WP13 - Thursdays and Fridays: 9am to 4pm

WP9 - Tuesday to Thursday: 11.30am to 2.30pm

Our Adult Services work within our core hours, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with no shift work, no on‑call, and no weekends. It’s a simple, steady schedule that lets you enjoy your evenings and keep your weekends completely free.

You will have SVQ L3 in Social Services and Healthcare (or the willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe) and have proven experience supporting neurodivergent adults with individualised needs.

You will provide calm, attuned support that is responsive to each supported persons sensory profile and be confident in working 1 on 1 with each person we support. You will also support with personal and intimate care needs and support safe administration of medication where required. A strong understanding of safeguarding, and working knowledge of the Health and Social Standards and the Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice are essential.

You will align with our purpose, values and attributes of being professional, dependable, collaborative, curious and adaptable and if you are able use and/or understand Makaton/Sign Supported English or British Sign Language, then that is a bonus!

You will work with the board and staff team to:

· Develop and guide WSDCS’ fundraising strategy

· Support the organisation in building partnerships and donor relationships

· Advise on campaign planning, grant applications and income diversification

· Help maximise opportunities for community engagement and fundraising events

Who Would Thrive on Our Board

You don’t need prior trustee experience, but you should bring:

· Experience in fundraising, development, partnerships, or income generation

· A passion for making a difference for deaf children and young people

· Ability to attend occasional in-person meetings in Glasgow city centre

We are looking for someone who can think strategically and creatively about income generation and help embed a culture of sustainable fundraising across the organisation.
