Paisley Housing Association is a Housing Association and registered charity situated in the heart of Paisley. We own over 1300 properties and provide a factoring management service to over 280 owner-occupiers. We also operate in close partnership with other Housing Associations in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire as part of the FLAIR group.

Following a successful funding bid to the Energy Redress Scheme, Paisley Housing Association is recruiting for a temporary Home Energy Adviser (to 31st March 2028) to join our advice service to deliver this project. Working under the direction of our Advice and Projects Manager, you will be part of a successful and supportive team committed to providing an effective and efficient, holistic advice service to our tenants and communities.

The partner Housing Associations are Paisley HA, Barrhead HA, Bridgewater HA, Ferguslie Park HA, Linstone HA and Williamsburgh HA. The Home Energy Adviser will join us at an exciting time and will assist in the development and delivery of a valuable and high profile project.

The overall purpose of the job is to provide an effective and efficient advice service, focussing on Fuel Poverty and energy use within the home. The Home Energy Advisor will facilitate the delivery energy advice, acting as the first point of contact for customers accessing this service. Providing advice and support for tenants, factored owners and the wider community of the partner Housing Associations, dealing with enquiries relating to energy usage within the home.

Although this job will be based from Paisley Housing Association’s office, there will be a requirement for outreach activities at other Housing Associations and in other community settings with the potential for working from home in line with any Hybrid Working arrangements in place, as agreed with line manager.

With one of our key priorities focusing on service excellence, we launched our new Front-Line Services Team in 2024, set up to enhance the customer service experience and support the delivery of our new response repairs service.

We are looking for two motivated customer services minded individuals to join the team.

The Services Assistants are responsible for the delivery of front-line customer service, liaising with external stakeholders in relation to work orders, supporting completion of housing applications, arranging, and attending home visits and initial front line complaint resolution.

The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 x SCQF Level 5 or equivalent (including English), customer service experience, including front line resolution of complaints and strong IT skills with experience of reporting.

Experience in a similar role would be advantageous as would completion of CIH (Chartered Institute of Housing) Level 3 but this is not essential.

Key Tasks

1. Front-line customer service role and contact for enquiries in relation to housing management, tenancy, allocations and repairs services including Right to Repair and Insurance claims.

2. Liaise with external stakeholders as required to ensure effective service delivery.

3. Routinely pursuing outstanding work orders to completion including associated administration and invoice approval within delegated authority levels.

4. Providing a courteous and efficient service to residents and the community.

5. Working with team members to ensure duty officer cover.

6. Arranging and carrying out viewings and house visits as required.

7. Assisting tenants and service users in the completion of housing application forms, and liaise with housing applicants in relation to the assessment of housing needs in accordance with GWHA Housing Allocations Policy.

8. Supporting the tenancy services team in the administration of policies and procedures, and in the delivery of team plans, objectives and performance indicators.

Thenue Housing Association has approximately 75 staff and provides high quality housing with a stock base of approximately 3,000 properties in our six main communities, as well as 21 supported accommodation projects, mainly located in Glasgow. We also provide a factoring service to over 800 owners within our communities and have around 45 sharing owners. Our housing stock ranges from Victorian sandstone tenements to 1930 “interwar” flats, along with a few listed buildings and new build properties developed by the Association. We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Receptionist with significant Receptionist and switchboard experience in a busy office environment, to join our organisation. Strong administrative skills and experience of web-based Housing Management platforms would be beneficial.

It is a permanent, office-based post over five days: 21hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

With our part-time Receptionist, who works Thursdays and Fridays, plus an additional full-time Receptionist, you will play a vital role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the front office as well as delivering excellent customer service.
