Purpose of the job

The Community Outreach Administrator provides vital administration and logistical support to ensure the smooth planning, co-ordination, and delivery of Community Outreach activities. This role is central to maintaining efficient operations of the Appealer programme; ensuring that all appeals, resources, logistics, and communications run seamlessly. The post holder will act as a point of contact for logistics, scheduling, and administrative processes that enable effective community engagement and mission delivery as well as support the broader functions of Community Outreach Team and the Scottish Office.

You will provide support to the Head of Operations in Scotland in achieving goals set by ACN in line with their mission and 10-year vision.

Your role will be assisting and supporting the Community Outreach team with the planning and execution of all outreach activities which is key in growing the visibility and fundraising opportunity of Aid to the Church in Need in Scotland.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with experience in youth work to be our Youth Development Leader. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the Good News of Jesus Christ and the spiritual development of young people. You would be expected to worship at Viewpark and be actively involved in the life of the congregation in order to become familiar with the congregation and the wider work undertaken there. The successful applicant’s main focus will be to facilitate and further develop our TeenSpace Project. This involves working with young people from 11 to 17 in conjunction with a range of ecumenical partners and other voluntary and statutory bodies. A wide range of volunteers is involved.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience of working with young people,

• Be experienced in starting projects and delivering to completion,

• Have an awareness of current issues affecting young people,

• Be someone who has led teams of volunteers,

• Be an effective communicator in many settings,

• Be both self-motivated and an adaptable team player

St Silas is an evangelical church in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant West-End. By God’s grace our congregation has experienced significant growth, and we are now seeking to appoint an Operations Manager.

The Operations Manager will work alongside the Rector and ministry staff, and oversee the committed ministry support team. Their role is to provide strategic oversight, management and development of the Church’s activities and operations.

This is a new and strategic post. We are looking for someone motivated to apply their gifts and skills in management and administration, in order to enable the church to fulfil its vision for mission and ministry.

While a Full Time role is envisaged, we would welcome enquiries about a part time alternative.
