This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and positive individual to help people using our foodbank to access our emergency food provision. The Service Co-ordinator is at the frontline of our crisis service. As the first point of contact for our service users and referral partners you must be a confident communicator who can work well managing multiple tasks in an extremely busy environment.

Duties will include processing requests for emergency food support received via phone, email and online. You will be taking care of day-to-day contacts and building relationships with partners, service users with regards to our crisis service.

Key responsibilities:

The Service Co-ordinator will:

• Manage referrals for all food bank parcels from agencies and partners via telephone and email
• Act as the main point of contact for service users. Gather any special requests, or information relating to specific needs so volunteers can tailor parcels accordingly
• Signpost service users to other support services, as appropriate
• Plan and co-ordinate daily deliveries including organising drivers, notifying service users and scheduling routes
• Collate all referral paperwork so data can be logged efficiently and in compliance with Trussell guidelines
• Liaise with referral agencies to help resolve any issues as they arise
• Onboard new referral partners
• Maintain and create records on our data collection system relating to referrals
• Collate articles and issue a regular newsletter for our referral partners
• Ensure referral partner contact information and user data is reviewed and updated regularly (usually on a quarterly basis)
• Bringing to the attention of your line manager any safeguarding concerns regarding the day-to-day referrals
• Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably expected to fulfil the role

Are you an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated individual with youth work experience and have a passion for motorbikes? Then this post is for you. The position will be fixed term for one year in the first instance.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of an existing team for a well-established youth Motorcycle Project and full training will be given. We work closely with local schools and youth agencies to provide group work and 1-1 programmes for young people. The Project uses off road motorcycles and group work activities to focus and engage young people. A passion for motorcycles and helping young people is a must for this role.

The Bridge Centre Motorcycle Project (BCMP) is a charitable organisation, operating as a part of The Haddington Bridge Centre Ltd.

The Project was first established in 1990, becoming a full-time charity in 1999.

BCMP works with young people aged from 11 to 25 and is designed to support individuals who have a wide range of additional support needs by using off road motorcycles and team building games/exercises as mediums to engage them. The work is aimed at promoting inclusion and social welfare.

The 3 main types of work at the Project are:

• Group Work Programmes (Educational Support Programmes)
• 1-to-1 Programmes (Individual Placements)
• Open Access Club

BCMP Works with young people individually or in small groups to develop confidence, supporting them to challenge themselves and work towards exciting and achievable goals, while learning new life skills.

The Project works with Secondary Schools and other partnering youth agencies/organisations with the aim of identifying young people who would benefit from taking part in an Educational Support Programme. The Project also works with referred young people who are not suited to participating in group work on a 1-to-1 basis.

In addition, the Project runs an open access club for young people aged 11-16 to join. This part of the Project allows self-referred young people to learn the skills and techniques of off-road motorcycling in a safe environment.

Raasay Development Trust (RDT) is looking for a motivated, experienced Community Development Officer to help shape a thriving, climate-resilient future for one of Scotland's most distinctive island communities.

Raasay is one of six islands in the Scottish Government's Carbon Neutral Islands programme, working to become net zero by 2040 — ahead of the rest of Scotland. This is a hands-on role leading delivery of our Community Climate Action Plan: the projects that turn our ambitions into reality.

About the role

As CNI Community Development Officer you will take projects from early development through to delivery — building the relationships, workplans and local capacity needed to make them work and to ensure the value created lasts. This is the majority of the role, alongside communications and engagement, research and collaboration, and shared administrative duties.

A unique opportunity within the role is leading the establishment of a Raasay Energy Local Club in partnership with Raasay Community Renewables, Energy Local, Community Energy Scotland and other island partners — selling locally-generated hydro power to residents and businesses at a reduced rate. Other projects include housing retrofit, Raasay House retrofit, a venison processing facility retrofit, food growing, habitat restoration, and marine carbon and biodiversity research.

You will be proactive, organised and motivated by the opportunity to grow income in a developing charity. An interest in outdoor access, conservation, sustainable tourism or Scotland’s landscapes would be highly advantageous.

Experience within a charity, conservation, heritage or tourism setting would be beneficial, as would experience of corporate partnerships or digital fundraising.
