About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Youth Project Leader to support young people aged 14–18 living in SW Edinburgh. The successful candidate will help young people build the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to engage in meaningful climate action that reflects their lived experiences and the needs of their communities. You will plan and deliver inclusive, youth-centred activities in safe and welcoming local spaces, creating opportunities for learning, discussion, and climate action. Health All Round is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of people living in South West Edinburgh. Our Action for Pain programme supports individuals with chronic pain by helping them better understand their condition and explore practical, effective strategies to manage and improve their symptoms.

This role will include assisting with the delivery of our lifestyle management course, providing one-to-one support to participants and supporting and coordinating volunteers.

Introduction

Established in 1984 to eradicate all forms of discrimination under the Race Relations Act 1976, CSREC works across Central Scotland, including but not limited to, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, and Stirling Council areas.

At CSREC, we aim to reduce the negative effects of inequality and marginalisation experienced by Minority Ethnic individuals, asylum seekers, and refugees across Central Scotland, enabling them to engage with the wider public to enhance community cohesion and prevent discrimination.

Due to the on-going changes within the Third Sector these responsibilities may be occasionally amended in negotiation with the post holder. Aims of the Post:

To deliver the key outcomes for The National Lottery Fund, following the three approaches: People-led, Strength-based, and Connected. This is vital to help CSREC empower communities and reduce inequality in Central Scotland. The main project activities include:

a) Support and Advice Service

b) Immigration Advice Services (IAA Level 1)

c) Digital Inclusion workshops

d) Financial Literacy workshops

We are looking for 2 Youth Work Leads to deliver youth sessions, clubs and activities for our young people and families within YoMo services across Glasgow the delivery will be varied and will always be driven by the needs of young people and the community.

There will also be the remit of devising and implementing new projects and clubs as guided by funding requirements and service user’s needs. These will include building and creating programs that provide accreditation through youth and SQA awards that build skills for young people’s future employment.

You will work in partnership with local organisations, social work and schools and build up strong positive community links. You will work to enhance the lives of young people by ensuring activities are provided to develop their mental, emotional, physical and social well-being needs.

You will have the responsibility of helping with fundraising drives and initiatives.

You will also be committed to ongoing personal development and undertake training or other professional development activities as required.

All other reasonable duties will be required to be undertaken as and when required and agreed with the Project Manager.

Full time post 35 hours per week, with hours worked varying over days, nights and weekend duties as required.

Part time post 25 hours per week, with hours worked varying over days, nights and weekend duties as required.
