Are you an experienced finance professional with strong leadership skills? Join the Iona Community as our Financial Administration Team Leader, a pivotal role overseeing the day-to-day operations of our finance department. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial processes, supporting the wider organisation and reporting directly to the Head of Community Resources.

We are looking for someone self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team, experienced in using Xero, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.

Key Responsibilities include

• Lead the daily operations of the finance administration function
• Support weekly, monthly and year-end processing and reports
• Support for annual audit, respond to queries and collate documentation
• Assist with annual budgeting and provide budget spend reports to senior managers
• Oversee processing of sales ledger, purchase ledger, expenses and monthly journal inputs
• Assist to file financial, regulatory and legal information with statutory bodies as and when required
• Supervisory responsibility for the Finance Administration Assistant.

Our Coordinator represents Stirling Street Pastors and supports the promotion, management and co-ordination of the initiative in Stirling.

Reporting to a Board of Trustees the Coordinator’s key duties will be to:

• Organise and manage the rotas
• Provide leadership to our volunteers
• Organise volunteer recruitment and training
• Manage the patrol base, and monitor and order equipment/street supplies
• Promote and develop relationships with churches, the Council, Police and other key stakeholders
• Identify funding opportunities and apply, where appropriate
• Be our liaison with Ascension Trust (AT) and Ascension Trust Scotland (ATS)

The post holder must:

• be a Christian with an active relationship with a local church
• subscribe to the Street Pastors core values and ethos
• be trained or willing to train as a Street Pastor volunteer and participate in a patrol rota

East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS) is a community-led organisation working for justice, rights, and empowerment of East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities across Scotland. We centre the voices of ESEA people while building solidarity and belonging across diverse communities.

• Founded in 2020 and incorporated as a Community Interest Company, ESAS has grown into a trusted and recognised voice. Our achievements include:
• Leading community research (Migrant Life in Scotland survey) on ESEA migrants’ access to services during the pandemic.
• Delivering emergency food, clothing, and IT support during COVID-19.
• Supporting wellbeing and inclusion through peer support groups, befriending, English lessons, and women’s sessions.
• Partnering with COSLA and the Scottish Government to support Hong Kong BN(O) migrants and improve access to services.

The opportunity

We are seeking new Board Directors who share our commitment to justice, rights, and empowerment. As a Director, you will play a vital role in shaping strategy, strengthening governance, and ensuring our work has lasting impact.

Previous Board experience is not essential—we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and lived experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge or experience in:

• Governance and organisational leadership
• Finance (including an applicant for the Treasurer role)
• Fundraising and understanding of the NGO/funding landscape
• HR and compliance
• UK policy and systems that shape migrant and community wellbeing

Commitment

This is a voluntary, non-executive role (reasonable expenses reimbursed). The time commitment is around 29 hours per year, covering meetings, preparation, and occasional reviews. Meetings are mainly online, with one in-person meeting in Scotland annually. Every five years, Directors attend a Governance Development Weekend (the next in Jan/March 2026).
