Where the role fits in our organisation
Our Partnerships and Communities Group are responsible for our work with the third sector, partners and communities across Dumfries and Galloway. The group leads on community insights and involvement, Locality Hubs, sector advice, training and development, building sector capacity, encouraging community involvement and representing the third sector. Key partnerships are with Dumfries and Galloway Council, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, Community Planning, Scottish Government and national sector bodies. The team includes Lead Officers, Development Officers, Support Officers, Coordinators and professional advisors.
What You'll Do
We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about the best start for all our children, the importance of community-led neuro-diverse support around families and who recognises the essential role the third sector plays in achieving positive outcomes for people across Dumfries and Galloway. You will lead our new partnership project focused on the delivery of a community-led model of support for neurodivergent children, young people and their families. Working closely with families, third sector and statutory partners, you will lead this exciting project from through implementation to evaluation, sharing and embedding the learning across our cross-sector partnership.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside third sector organisations supporting a diverse range of families, children and young people, with a focus on listening to their neurodevelopmental needs.
- Work closely with cross-sector partners to build a community-led pathway to advice and support that is accessible, inclusive and easy to navigate.
- Identify third sector training needs; working closely with all partners to co-design, deliver and evaluate a programme of accredited training to meet the identified community need.
- Plan, implement and evaluate community engagement activities, workshops, and meetings in a variety of informal settings.
- Work in a way that facilitates the delivery of safe, effective, rights-based and person-centred practices.
- Work within community engagement competencies and local and national guidelines.
- Collaborate with staff across all agencies, developing and maintaining good relationships and clear lines of communication.
- Effectively prioritise workload, recognising the requirement to be flexible whilst working alongside the third sector and community members.
- Be involved in the delivery and collection of outcome measures related to the programme of work.
- Contribute to partnership working using knowledge, data and insights from across the sector to better inform decision making.
- Represent the third sector/TSDG at partnership meetings.

- You will be able to show your understanding of family engagement or community work and be able to evidence best practice in participatory working
- You will be able to show your approach to effective and compassionate leadership, achieving outcomes and demonstrating impact.
- You will bring a keen interest in building and sharing knowledge, particularly in relation to good practice and to new policy.
- You will be able to show examples of effective application of key skills, including organisation and planning, problem solving and communications.
- You will have had experience of building effective professional relationships inside and outside of your organisation.
- You may have had experience, knowledge or lived experience of neurodivergence

TACT is looking for one exceptional and experienced individual to become a member of the team.
Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) across North Ayrshire are operating in an increasingly challenging environment, with rising demand, limited resources, and growing strategic responsibilities. Alongside this, a new community-led consortia programme is being established to reduce child poverty through coordinated, person-centred support. To help the sector respond collectively and effectively, the Strategic Support Officer will act as both a shared strategic resource and the central coordinating role within this partnership.
The postholder will strengthen strategic capacity across participating organisations, enable more efficient cross-organisation collaboration, coordinate shared initiatives, and ensure the third sector’s collective voice is clearly represented in local decision-making. Working directly with Chief Officers and frontline delivery leads, the postholder will help translate shared learning into stronger pathways, reduced duplication, and a more joined-up experience for the families and communities we serve.

CVS Inverclyde is commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to deliver the Community Link Worker service in Inverclyde. This post is offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension subject to contract renewal and funding.
The Community Link Worker programme in Inverclyde is funded by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Community Link Workers are based within GP Practices and they work across the community, third sector and public sector to support people to live well through strengthening connections between community resources and primary care.
Community Link Workers provide a service that is responsive to the needs and interests of a GP practice population, who are often living in an area affected by socio-economic deprivation. They support patients to identify issues that affect their ability to live well. Taking a person-centred approach, the post holder will support individuals to help them identify personal outcomes and priorities that they would like to address, overcome any barriers to addressing these and link them to local and national support services and activities.
The Community Link Worker will support the existing GP practice teams to become better equipped to match local and national support services to the needs of individuals attending for health and welbeing care. They will also build relationships and processes between the GP practices and community resources, statutory organisations, other health services and voluntary organisations.

Midlothian Community Action (MCA) is the Third Sector Interface (TSI) for Midlothian. We provide support, guidance, and representation for charities, community groups, social enterprises, and volunteers. As the TSI, we act as the central point of contact between the third sector and the Scottish Government, and we work to strengthen and champion local voluntary action.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Communications Support
- Assist in promoting MCA’s internal projects through targeted communications.
- Support the promotion of events, forums, training sessions, and sector-wide initiatives.
- Research and produce case studies demonstrating the impact of volunteering.
- Create content for social media and contribute to marketing campaigns.
- Amplify the voice and representation of the third sector in Midlothian.
- Deliver occasional presentations or talks to encourage volunteering.
- Work collaboratively with third sector staff and volunteers, including attending forums, summits, and supporting with presentations and minute taking.
- Attend team meetings and develop a strong understanding of the wider role of the TSI.
Administrative Support
- Provide general office support, including reception and phone cover when required.
- Input data into the volunteering database.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
