VASLan is seeking an inspiring and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the Third Sector Interface for South Lanarkshire and champion one of Scotland’s most vibrant local third sectors.
VASLan represents and supports over 1,400 community, voluntary and social enterprise organisations. Our ambition is to make South Lanarkshire the best place in Scotland to start, run and grow a third sector organisation.
VASLan is committed to not competing with the local third sector on the delivery of services and to being genuinely accountable to and representative of it.
About the role
As CEO, you will:
· Provide strategic and operational leadership to VASLan
· Act as the principal advocate and system leader for the local third sector
· Build strong partnerships with Community Planning partners, funders and government
· Steward significant funding and ensure long-term sustainability
· Lead, support and develop a committed staff team
· Work closely with the Board to ensure strong governance and accountability
About you
You will bring:
· Senior leadership experience in the third, public or related sector
· Strong influencing, partnership and communication skills
· Sound financial and governance experience
· A deep commitment to community-led, asset-based approaches
· Knowledge of the Scottish third sector and policy environment

Borders Community Action is a one-stop point for the third sector, working with charities, social enterprises, community groups and volunteers.

As CEO, you will work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees to shape the future direction of The Eric Liddell Community. You will have overall responsibility for the organisation, including strategic leadership and oversight of the charity’s core care services.
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. You will handle our financial administration and ensure we meet all regulatory requirements. You will manage the day-to-day financial operations using the Xero accounting software platform, working closely with CEO and Engagement and Operations Lead. Please note that EVOC is not VAT registered.

EVOC (Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council) is a charity that was established in 1868. In July 2025, we published a new strategic plan to guide our work for the next five years.

Board Trustee

The COVEY Board of Trustees is seeking to appoint new trustees with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- HR/Employment Law – e.g. people management, organisational change, staff wellbeing and employment law in a UK context.
- Children, young people and family services – particularly in areas such as mentoring, youth work, education, social care or whole-family support.
- Senior leadership – proven experience at CEO or equivalent senior leadership level, ideally within the third sector or local/national government.
COVEY (Community Volunteers Enabling You) is a lifeline for children, young people, and families across Lanarkshire. Since 1992, we have provided 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring, and family support services tailored to those who need it the most.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and Leadership Team, the Board has legal responsibility and strategic oversight of the charity, ensuring that it is financially sustainable, has strong governance, manages risk effectively, protects its reputation and delivers against its strategy and charitable objectives.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual. You will have the opportunity to use and further develop your skills and experience to support children and families across Lanarkshire and beyond.
The role will involve attending Board meetings (approximately four per year) plus an AGM and/or EGMs; and any training and strategy days as required. There will also be opportunities to join any standing committees of the Board or occasional short life working groups.
The position is voluntary, however reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed. Location: Meetings of the Board are normally held every quarter at South Lanarkshire College in East Kilbride between 6.00pm – 8.00pm.
