Role

Are you passionate about tackling fuel poverty and supporting communities to become more energy resilient? We are recruiting for an Energy Advisor to support the delivery of our Energy Redress funded West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice Project.

As an Energy Advisor, you will:

  • Provide tailored energy advice and advocacy to residents, helping them reduce energy consumption, manage fuel debt, and resolve disputes with utility providers.
  • Deliver support through a mix of in-person appointments, home visits for the most vulnerable, telephone consultations, and community workshops/events.
  • Work closely with local partners, to maximise engagement and ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Promote energy efficiency and signpost to relevant support schemes.
  • Monitor and evaluate project impact, maintaining accurate records and contributing to regular reporting.
  • Support individuals and households most at risk due to deprivation, low income, or other barriers such as language or health.
  • Undertake risk assessments for all project activities.
  • Participate in relevant meetings, training, and professional development.

We are undertaking this recruitment alongside Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association and Cadder Housing Association, through a joint recruitment process. Three Energy Advisor positions are available within community-focused organisations in the West of Scotland, aiming to address fuel poverty and enhance energy resilience. These roles offer the opportunity to support households facing energy challenges through advice, advocacy, and community engagement.
