Our Partnerships and Communities Group are responsible for our work with the third sector, partners and communities across Dumfries and Galloway. The group leads on community insights and involvement, Locality Hubs, sector advice, training and development, building sector capacity, encouraging community involvement and representing the third sector. Key partnerships are with Dumfries and Galloway Council, NHS Dumfries and Galloway, Community Planning, Scottish Government and national sector bodies. The team includes Lead Officers, Development Officers, Support Officers, Coordinators and professional advisors

What You'll Do

We are looking for a dedicated and relationship-driven colleague to lead an exciting one-year programme focused on improving community support for people living with Energy Limiting Conditions (ELCs). You’ll be at the heart of strengthening understanding, coordination, and sector capacity across Dumfries & Galloway — with the opportunity to shape future work around wider long-term conditions.

If you thrive on engagement, insight-gathering, and helping organisations build their confidence to support people with fluctuating conditions, this role is for you.

• Carry out a region-wide mapping and gapping exercise to understand current community support for ELCs.
• Build strong relationships with third sector organisations, community groups, practitioners, and lived experience voices.
• Facilitate conversations, engagement sessions, and two forum-style events to deepen shared understanding.
• Develop resources, guidance, and introductory capacity-building activity to strengthen sector confidence.
• Capture insights, identify priority needs, and highlight opportunities for future development and investment.
• Produce clear reports, summaries, and a baseline evidence report with recommendations for future work.
• Explore how learning from ELCs can inform support for wider long-term conditions.
• Represent TSDG and support collaborative working across our community health and wellbeing portfolio.

• You bring experience from within, or closely alongside, the third sector — ideally in community health, wellbeing, or long-term conditions.
• You are exceptionally organised — able to manage multiple priorities, track actions, and keep workstreams aligned.
• You’re confident creating and maintaining documentation, whether that’s action notes, work plans, trackers, or briefing materials.
• You have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with partners from different sectors.
• You’re comfortable analysing information, capturing learning, and communicating it clearly and accessibly
• You’re digitally confident, with experience using tools such as Teams, shared drives, spreadsheets, or project management platforms.
• You work well both independently and as part of a dispersed team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
• You are self-motivated, committed to improvement, and keen to contribute to a programme that strengthens the sector and the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive colleague who is passionate about strengthening community health and wellbeing through effective coordination and partnership working. You’ll thrive on keeping complex workstreams running smoothly, supporting collaboration, and making sure information, communication, and resources flow seamlessly across our programme.

With a solid understanding of the third sector and strong coordination skills, you will play a key role in supporting the development of DGCollectives, helping to organise activity, maintain shared work plans, and ensure that our programme delivers high-quality support to organisations across Dumfries and Galloway.

• Coordinate collaborative activity across the Community Health and Wellbeing programme — scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording actions, and supporting meaningful follow-up.
• Maintain contact lists, communication channels, shared resources, and documentation for programme areas and collaboratives.
• Support Development Officers with planning and coordination across multiple thematic workstreams.
• Prepare, update, and organise shared work plans, trackers, reports, and programme documents to ensure smooth delivery.
• Assist with the organisation of events, workshops, sector engagement sessions, and collaborative activities.
• Produce clear, accessible updates, summaries, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Help maintain and manage data, insights, and records to support programme reporting and continuous improvement.
• Support the Lead Officer and offer light-touch organisational support to the Deputy CEO when required.
• Represent TSDG professionally and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. You will handle our financial administration and ensure we meet all regulatory requirements. You will manage the day-to-day financial operations using the Xero accounting software platform, working closely with CEO and Engagement and Operations Lead. Please note that EVOC is not VAT registered.

Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity working locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency and support people through fuel poverty and food insecurity. We deliver a range of projects, events and skills training to achieve the needs and goals of local people – building resilience as a community and working towards a future where everyone can live better and tread more lightly on our planet.

Based in the heart of Kirkcaldy – with a community building, training kitchen, bike shop and garden – we carry out activities across Kirkcaldy and work with partners to deliver projects across Fife.

Growing and connection with nature has central to our work since the beginning. Our community training garden at Ravenscraig Walled Garden is a vibrant space. It offers courses, training and volunteer opportunities in gardening and growing. It also includes a community orchard, with over 100 fruit trees and a ‘wild area’ that is set aside for nature.

As lead partner of Climate Action Fife, we work with others to help people to garden in climate-friendly ways. We’ve helped people to plant fruit trees and we recently created a demonstration climate-friendly garden at our community building garden in Kirkcaldy town centre. We are always looking for new opportunities to help local people connect with nature on their doorstep.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to lead and develop our growing and nature connection projects work.

As part of our Community Engagement Team, you will work with staff, volunteers and partners. You will plan and deliver a diverse range of events, training and volunteer opportunities around growing and nature. We are keen to strengthen our ‘Plot to Plate’ activities, so you will work with our Community Food Team to connect growing with cooking classes, meals and food access projects.

You will play a key role developing new projects and activities, both grant-funded and income generating. You will support a Community Garden Worker and an enthusiastic team of mixed-ability volunteers to maintain and develop our community gardens and coordinate day-to-day activities.

You don’t need to be an expert in climate change or biodiversity. We will provide training and you will be supported by a great team.
