Following recent major fundraising successes and the expansion of our services into the Scottish Borders, MYPAS is seeking a self-starting fundraiser to build and diversify our fundraising to support future growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to use their experience and creativity to shape both the role and the fundraising function - working closely with the Chief Executive and Board to establish fundraising strategy and infrastructure.

With previous experience of fundraising in at least two of the following areas - individual giving, community and events fundraising, corporate giving, trusts and grants, public sector contracts – you will occupy a pivotal role in increasing the organisation’s capacity to provide our much-needed services for vulnerable young people.

With a primary focus on fundraising, the postholder will also work to support marketing and communications including developing social media.

With funding for our core activities largely secured, and strong prospects in the pipeline, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make the role their own and take our fundraising to the next level.

This post may require evening and occasional weekend work: some evening and weekend work may be necessary – based on advance notice and a TOIL system. The post requires flexibility during peak fundraising periods such as seasonal events and MYPAS run community events.

This is a full-time role but we would consider part-time hours.

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team. Y sort it Young Carers Service supports young carers aged between 8-18 years across West Dunbartonshire.

This exciting post offers a unique opportunity to work with Young Carers within school, home & community based settings. The role of the Young Carer Support Worker will be to support young carers in making informed choices around issues that are important to them, through one to one, group work sessions & respite.

You will be offering and completing Young Carers Statements (Assessments), developing support plans, providing advice and information, training and group work to support young carers with their caring role.

Young carers are supported through a range of measures to alleviate the caring role and your role will be to work closely with schools, partner agencies and family members to ensure they are able to be a young person first and foremost.

You will be active at providing support and encouragement, helping them to overcome challenges and /or barriers working towards goals to improve their learning, skills and personal development. Offering guidance, rights based information, creating learning opportunities. You will be developing support plans, providing advice and information, training and peer support. Your role will be to work closely with schools, partner agencies and family members.

The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work will involve working, evenings, school holidays and weekends. The post holder should be flexible as the actual times of work may change to respond to the demands of the work of the Young Carers Service including overnight stays for respite.

Midlothian Young Peoples Advice Service (MYPAS) promotes the health and wellbeing of young people across East Lothian, Midlothian and the Scottish Borders and currently focuses on working in the areas of mental health and substance use. MYPAS is a community-based organisation with charitable status and based in Dalkeith.

Working as part of busy Core Team, the post holder will offer administrative and fundraising support to MYPAS management and service teams designed to contribute towards MYPAS aims and objectives. The key areas of focus for this role are:

1. Administrative support
2. Meeting and events support
3. Communications co-ordination including social media
4. Production of reports and resources.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing administrative support in a service-based organisation, a good knowledge of general office procedures, excellent IT and literacy skills, and the ability to accurately manage databases and spreadsheets.

Job Purpose

The Climate Action Youth Worker will work closely with a YMCA Board Subgroup to develop and deliver our Climate Action project in schools and communities across East Ayrshire.

You will inspire young people aged 5–18, alongside community participants of all ages, to engage meaningfully with climate action — supporting confidence, skills development, resilience, and positive relationships in line with YMCA values.

This role forms part of a Scotland-wide programme, delivered in partnership with seven other YMCA organisations and funded by the National Lottery Communities Fund.
