Role

Are you a natural organiser who thrives on making things work smoothly behind the scenes?

Do you want to use your skills to support a charity that makes a real difference to people’s lives?

We’re looking for a dedicated Facilities & Resources Officer to join our team — or partner with us on a contract basis — to lead key operational functions including vehicle fleet management, property maintenance, and policy development.

Whether you’re looking for a permanent employed role or are an experienced self-employed contractor, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing our vehicle fleet: leasing, insurance, servicing, fuel cards, and EV support.
  • Coordinating property maintenance and statutory compliance (e.g. PAT testing, EPCs, legionella).
  • Reviewing, updating, and communicating policies and procedures across the organisation.
  • Supporting tendering processes, strategic business planning, and responding to operational queries.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in facilities management.
  • Understanding of working in a care or support charity, ideally supporting vulnerable people.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Confident communicator with a flexible, problem-solving approach.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Flexible options – employed or contracted. We’re open to:

  • Hiring on a permanent basis (part-time – we’ll shape the role to suit the right person).
  • Receiving proposals from contractors offering these services via a consultancy or freelance arrangement.

Why join or work with us?

  • Be part of a values-led organisation committed to empowering individuals.
  • A varied and autonomous role where you’ll have space to make a real impact.
  • Flexible working arrangements and a supportive, collaborative team culture.
