RASASH (Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland) provides free, confidential support and information to anyone affected by sexual violence in Highland (age 13+). This includes survivors of sexual violence and their non-abusing partners, friends, and families. We support all genders – women, men, non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming, while recognising that sexual violence disproportionally affects women and girls.

We also develop and deliver training and workshops to schools, youth groups, and professionals on a range of topics related to sexual violence and gender equality. This, alongside our youth-led campaigning, is part of our work to change societal attitudes which contribute to sexual violence and the shaming of survivors.

RASASH is the only specialist sexual violence service in Highland. Our service is women-led and trauma-informed.

We are looking for new Trustees to join our Board to help guide our strategic direction and ensure we continue providing essential support to survivors across the region.

We are a Scottish charity providing baby loss counselling and peer support to families, with over 40 years’ experience of offering compassionate bereavement care in the community.

Many of our staff are bereaved parents themselves, so through shared, lived experience, we provide compassion and support to each other and connect through our care for our families and each other. Our families are the heart of everything that we do. All our support is free, personal to each family and for as long as is needed. Our support includes counselling, one to one peer support, our Hospital to Home service, group support and events.

We are in a period of growth, having expanded the team from 4 to 26 over the last 8 years and, most recently, extending our geographical reach from Edinburgh and the Lothians to Fife, Forth Valley and the Highlands.

Job Summary

• To deliver specialist baby and child bereavement counselling over 26 weeks to families in Forth Valley.
• To hold and manage a caseload with complex bereavement needs
• To work closely with other Counsellors, Bereavement support lead and the Head of Support Services in co-ordinating the service ensuring timely and sensitive communication.
• To monitor and develop the counselling service waiting list.
• To offer an initial assessment as part of a new triage system to clients referred to counselling.
• To lead on a new counselling structure

Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland (VCS) was formed as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in February 2023 (SC052358) but had operated for a number of years under the Workplace Chaplaincy Charity (which is now discontinued).

VCS exists to promote, develop and manage the pastoral and spiritual support to military veterans and their families across Scotland, and to train, support and develop both lay and ordained people to engage in chaplaincy through Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland.

VCS is developing its reach across Scotland and employs a small number of staff and retains volunteer Chaplains to deliver its core services across Scotland. It is at a crucial stage of its development and the Board of Trustees are seeking to appoint a National Director for the Charity who will provide high-level leadership to help shape and strengthen the future of chaplaincy provision. The individual will drive vision, influence, and long-term planning, ensuring the charity is well-positioned to support its chaplains and those they serve. This is a non-operational role for provision of chaplaincy, but the postholder will complement the day-to-day leadership provided by the Head of Chaplaincy Operations.

The initial appointment will be Part Time for around 14 hours per week but rising to Full Time of 36 hours per week depending on funding being generated. The closing date for applications is Friday 15th August 2025, and it is planned that interviews will take place in September. The appointment is subject to a four-month probationary period and to suitable references and pre-employment checks. We envisage the role starting as soon as possible once a suitable candidate is recruited.

The Operations Manager is a key role at the PF which ensures that all aspects of our business, service delivery, and operations are carried out successfully, efficiently, safely, and cost effectively. Reporting to and working closely with the CEO, the Operations Manager will be integral to ensuring the future success of the organisation.

The role crosses a number of areas of our business, from finance management, IT systems, our policies and procedures, and the management of our building. It is a wide ranging, busy job with multiple priorities. As such, we need someone who is efficient, process minded and able to juggle competing demands.

The Operations Manager must be an excellent communicator and able to forge positive relationships with a wide variety of people, bringing staff and volunteers on board with new systems and processes, and ensuring they work within existing policies and procedures.

Organisation profile:

PF Counselling Service provides affordable counselling in Edinburgh for people facing mild to moderate mental health difficulties in their everyday life. Our vision is to enable people to embrace life more fully through the growth, change and healing that can take place through the counselling process. Our volunteer counsellors offer a professional service to individuals over the age of 18. PF Counselling relies on donations to keep our service accessible and affordable for all. We suggest a minimum donation of £20 to contribute towards the cost of client’s weekly sessions.

The PF offers over 11,000 sessions of counselling a year to over 750 clients, provided by around 100 professionally trained volunteer counsellors. The staff team of seven is responsible for all aspects of delivering the service.
