About Aberlour….

Aberlour is the largest, solely Scottish, children’s charity with over 40 services across Scotland and a workforce of around 800 staff. Our HR team are essential in helping to ensure that our services can make a positive difference to children and families across Scotland.

What we are looking for....

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can work closely with managers and employees to provide a comprehensive service which guides, coaches and advises on HR policies, activities and solutions.

You will work in partnership with Assistant Directors to identify staff and service needs, develop and implement HR plans and deliver client responsive solutions utilising a range of techniques including consultancy and project management.

You will support services across Glasgow, Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway and the Scottish Borders. We have hot desking facilities in our Glasgow and Stirling offices but can also support home working. You will be expected to attend monthly team meetings in Stirling and travel to services as required.

You will be qualified to SCQF level 11 and be a chartered member of the CIPD, or have equivalent knowledge acquired by other means, and be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Advising managers/directors on HR issues.
  • Delivery of HR solutions to support change.
  • Practical experience of interpreting and working with HR policies and procedures
  • People management
