Purpose of Job

The Information Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring that accurate, clear, and accessible information is produced, maintained, and disseminated by the charity. This role involves:

• creating a range of printed and digital information materials and tools for men, their families, healthcare professionals and the public,
• collaborating with medical specialists including consultants, GPs, and allied health professionals to ensure content is evidence-based and clinically accurate.
• coordinating and managing the PAGES committee, including organising quarterly meetings, preparing agendas and documentation, and overseeing follow-up actions.
• ensuring the charity’s information is compliant with regulatory and accessibility standards and is effectively shared with relevant stakeholders.

The Information Co-ordinator plays a key role in supporting the charity’s mission by providing authoritative, respected, accessible, and high-quality information that empowers service users, supports clinical professionals, and raises awareness.

The Community Fundraising and Events Officer will be responsible for driving income generation to support the growth and sustainability of Trauma Healing Together via community fundraising initiatives. The post-holder will lead on planning, delivering, and evaluating a programme of community events, working creatively to engage individuals, volunteers, groups, and local businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised fundraiser to make a tangible difference by generating the vital funds needed to expand our trauma-informed services.

ABOUT TRAUMA HEALING TOGETHER

As a charity we work closely with people who have experienced psychological trauma and are living with the symptoms of this. We work in partnership with trauma survivors to improve their quality of life through therapy, training and personal development, shaping future services and the understanding of trauma through research projects. We promote a holistic and multi-faceted approach to treating all types of psychological trauma, prioritising mutual understanding and respect of clients, staff and volunteers. GAMH are commissioned by Glasgow Carers Partnership to deliver support to unpaid Carers living within the North East of the city. Our service offers inclusive and holistic support to Carers to help maintain their quality of life and improve their health and wellbeing.

The primary focus of this post will be to work with unpaid Carers and Young Carers delivering a range of supports so Carers will have the ability to manage their caring responsibilities whilst also maintaining their own wellbeing. MHAP is one of the longest-running independent advocacy organisations in Scotland, and we are now recruiting a new team member to help expand our individual and collective advocacy services for people experiencing mental health challenges and/or addiction issues.

We provide advocacy support to adults aged 18–65 who live in West Lothian or are receiving treatment here. Our work takes place in a range of settings, including St John’s Hospital, HMP Addiewell, and various community locations, as well as home visits when required.

Individual advocacy involves working alongside people on a one-to-one basis to ensure their voices are heard and respected. We support individuals to understand their rights, make informed decisions, and have meaningful influence over matters that affect their lives.

Collective advocacy involves working with groups of people with lived experience to explore shared concerns, identify common themes, and influence service development, policy, and decision-making at a wider level.

This is a varied and rewarding role that can make a real difference in the lives of people who may otherwise be marginalised.
