RecoveryAyr are seeking to recruit a proactive and passionate Recovery Worker who will have a specific focus on supporting people involved with the justice system. The post holder will continue to develop the PING (Peoples Involvement Network Group), by providing a range of groups and social activities to support ongoing recovery, including supporting individuals returning to the community from prison. The post holder will also ensure the voices and experiences of individuals involved with justice services are collected and considered as part of ongoing service improvement activities, recognising that there is much to be gained from people with ‘lived experience’ of the justice system.

The post holder will be based with a staff team of lived experience workers, who have wide range of experience providing support for individuals and families affected by alcohol, drugs or involved with justice services.

The Team Leader will be based in our ROADS (Recovery Out of Alcohol and Drug Support) service in South Ayrshire which provides emotional and practical support to clients before they go into a residential rehabilitation service, during their stay, and after they've completed their placement.

All of our staff have lived, or working experience of residential rehabilitation. They are closely linked to the local areas, and have extensive knowledge of recovery communities, support groups and wider services.The ROADS team can also offer support to families, carers and children of individuals who are going to long-term residential rehabilitation. The service is delivered in partnership with WithYou, Recovery Ayr and Barnardos.

As Team Leader you will directly link in to the Service Manager, as well as working collaboratively with other Team Leaders, Operations Managersand our partner organisations, to ensure clear communication and meet the delivery needs of this service to support our clients to achieve positive outcomes.

You will be responsible for collaboratively leading a WithYou team to deliver a high level of performance by meeting targets and KPI’s set to ensure we are providing the best service to our clients and improve treatment outcomes, whilst creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our staff team.

This post requires excellent leadership skills to work innovatively and confidently. You will support staff in high performing recovery work, overseeing quality assurance and safeguarding, with the capacity to work within competing demands and tight timescales.

This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing, so it’s important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively.

You and your team will be responsible for delivering against targets, always ensuring the service is complying with all of the necessary requirements that arise from working in a social care setting. There'll be data analysis and administration tasks to deal with too, but that's all part of this busy and varied job that you take in your stride.

It is essential you have a full driving licence and preferably you have access to a car as you will be responsible for transporting clients to and from rehab.

We are looking for a Peer Recovery Worker to provide intensive, flexible support and assertive outreach for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in relation to their alcohol and/or drug use and who may have complex vulnerabilities or be at risk of an alcohol or drug related death.

This post funded by South Ayrshire ADP is based within the multi-disciplinary C4C team working alongside staff from We Are With You & NHS START.

As a Recovery Coordinator with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

We are looking for enthusiastic Recovery Coordinators to join our team focused on helping individuals mitigate the impacts of drug use. We have two fixed-term positions available for 21 months: a full-time role (37.5 hours/week) and a part-time role (30 hours/week).

In this position, Recovery Coordinators will collaborate with clients to create personalised recovery plans, provide resources on safer drug use, facilitate access to health services, distribute harm reduction supplies, and support those seeking recovery.

About the role:

• Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
• Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
• Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups / pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
• Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods have taken place, reviewing progress and identifying concerns with service users
• Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the service users, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc

About you:

• Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
• Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
• Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
• Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
