About the role

Four Square Homelessness Charity are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Community-Based Practitioner, specialising in homeless prevention. In this role, you will focus on proactive measures to prevent homelessness within the community by providing support, resources, and advocacy to individuals at risk. The ideal candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and can lone work in the community.

Our Homeless prevention services are designed to address and mitigate the factors that can lead individuals and families to become homeless. The primary purpose of the service is to intervene before people lose their homes, providing support and resources to help them maintain stable housing and support to get a home.

To apply for this job, you must have:

· Minimum qualification of SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or have at least 2 years relevant experience in a social care setting.

· Knowledge of trauma informed practice and ways of working.

· Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.

· Registration with SSSC and meet requirements.

· Be able to use IT effectively including management systems, databases, and Microsoft 365

Four Square are recruiting for a Community Fundraiser & Volunteer Coordinator to join our central operations team.

You will play a central part in recruiting and managing our team of volunteers, and being responsive to organisational needs for volunteer support.

You will also be the face of Four Square in the community, building lasting relationships and support with local supporters and organising events, talks and being creative in how we raise our profile in the community through talks, events and social media platforms.

You will be highly motivated and approachable. As an ambassador for the organisation you’ll quickly establish trust with volunteers and local funders.

Exciting Opportunity with LHM – Social Media and Content Creator

Lodging House Mission (LHM), a Glasgow-based charity supporting the homeless, socially excluded, and vulnerable, is recruiting for an exciting new role within our Day Centre. This is a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension based on funding and impact. It offers a unique opportunity to tell LHM’s story while helping service users develop new skills.

In addition to content creation, this role involves spending time within the Day Centre, interacting with the people who use our services, and providing training in areas such as content creation, photography, and social media, to help them develop valuable skills.

The Role:

Rock Trust are delighted to advertise for a Project Worker for our Youth Boost service in Perth, which aims to support young people to transition from homelessness into settled accommodation, as well as supporting those in tenancies who may be at risk of eviction and young people who want to return home and maintain relationships with their families. We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to help us continue to deliver on this exciting project. The role will involve working directly with young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support on a 1:1 basis, both in their homes and within the wider community.

The post holder will be expected to:

• Work with our Service Manager to develop the Youth Boost service
• Support young people to manage and thrive in their home
• Motivate young people to set goals and reach their potential
• An ability to work effectively with partners and other key people to provide young
• people with excellent care and support
• Adopt a ‘whatever it takes’ and rights based approach
• Work in a psychologically and trauma informed manner
