We are currently looking to recruit an individual for the above post – this role is for three days a week.

The Finance and Governance Manager is a key role within the organisation and involves both strategic and operational duties. We would anticipate that the successful candidate will spend a proportionate amount of time on both finance and governance, which may vary throughout the year depending on work commitments.

As a charity we are regulated by OSCR and ideally the successful candidate will have knowledge of, or experience working for, a third sector organisation.

Reachout with Arts in Mind provides services for members who are at various stages of managing their wellbeing. The position will involve interaction with members on a regular basis, and as we are a small staff team, the list of duties is not exhaustive. A range of additional tasks may be undertaken from time to time, and as funding terms and conditions dictates or projects develop.

The role will also involve supporting the Executive Artistic Director in completing funding applications and the financial reporting on spend associated with funders, as well as ensuring all income and revenue is managed, controlled and accounted for.

Strategic input to the Management and Board of Directors summarising and documenting areas of the accounts will also be required.

The post holder will report to the Executive Artistic Director and work closely with the Senior Facilitator & Engagement Manager.

The AIMS Project works with young people aged 14-18 years with significant mental health issues and often particularly disadvantaged backgrounds.

As a result of mental illness and diagnosed and undiagnosed learning disability over 80% of the young people we work with are outwith mainstream Education, Training and Employment.

At AIMS we believe in the potential of these young people.

We run three Programmes;

• REACH – a mental health support group – up to 3 days a week
• THRIVE – a highly supportive Stage 1 Personal Development Programme – 3-4 days and week
• Rise – a youth club which operated 2 sessions a week

Our Projects offer small group activities and high staff ratios. Overall, we aim to support young people to realise their own potential and to start to develop their own aspirations. We also aim to support young people to confidently use public transport, communicate effectively, make friendships and develop the courage to try new things.

All our Projects incorporate a huge range of outdoor education, visits and activities, designed broaden horizons and push boundaries.

We are currently seeking to recruit an additional Support Worker at 24 hours a week. The Support Worker will work across our Projects for up to 4 days a week.

No prior experience is required, however the post is subject to PVG Membership. We are seeking people with empathy, enthusiasm, a motivational and nurturing approach to the needs of our young people, and a willingness to take part in all activities offered.

The Role

We are looking to recruit Sessional Adult Counsellors who are enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who can provide confidential Counselling services for Adults who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health. You must hold a recognised diploma in Counselling, already have or be working towards BACP accreditation (as an individual) and have experience of working with adults in a therapeutic way. You will be a reflective practitioner with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people who are experiencing a difficulty with their mental health. You will be required to deliver counselling predominantly face to face, as well as telephone and online platforms, maintain confidential records, provide regular statistical reports and contribute to the development and evaluation of this project.
