Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) is a ‘single door’ TSI for the local authority area providing support to around 200 third sector member organisations in Clackmannanshire including charities, development trusts, community and voluntary groups, and social enterprises. CTSI is also responsible for promoting volunteering and supporting voluntary leadership.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, passion and commitment to volunteering in Clackmannanshire. The role will be leading on one of our key strands of work – with an ambitious target to increase the number of people involved in volunteering and lead on the roll out of the new CTSI Volunteer Portal.

We need someone to be a team player, work with partners, listen and support volunteering-involving organisations and get the message out there – volunteering is for everyone!

Hiring for 2 roles. 1 full-time at 37.5 hours per week, and 1 part-time (0.5 FTE) at 18.75 hours per week.

In our Community Team, we identify, investigate and intervene in housing and homelessness issues. We are engaged in our local communities to understand the housing issues people are facing, and we apply our expertise to work toward solutions. Lived experience of the housing emergency is at the heart of everything we do.

About you

Already with some relevant experience, you’re used to working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, have great time management skills and enjoy collaborating with people from other teams and organisations. The ability to listen to, engage and empower individuals and communities will be key. So will your willingness to challenge practice and hold people to account – including influencing decision makers. Adept at presenting information and arguments in clear and compelling ways, you have a real enthusiasm for delivering workshops and presentations too. What’s more, you’re a creative problem solver with an innate ability to gather evidence and identify insights, issues and trends and are proficient using Word, Excel, email, the internet and in-house CRM systems.

About the team

Our three Communities Teams are responsible for identifying, investigating and intervening in housing and homelessness practice issues. We engage with our local communities to understand the issues people are facing and apply expert housing knowledge, insight and analysis to identify solutions to them. As well as providing advice and advocacy for individuals, we also use our insight, relationships and influence to drive systemic change, always ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of everything we do.

Our North Team covers regions from Fife northwards and operates out of our two regional offices in Dundee and Aberdeen with the team spread across these locations.

We are looking for a Pathways Coordinator at Blairgowrie High School, to work with young people, mentors and school staff involved in our programme.

About the role:

You will be an integral part of the school community and wider MCR team and be the key person delivering the MCR programme to young people in the school.

Key responsibilities:

- Helping to build exceptional individual relationships with young people across S1 to S6 and delivering S1 & S2 group work.

- Helping to drive volunteer mentor recruitment. Consistently supporting, actively engaging and motivating mentors from training through the length of their engagement with the programme.

- Actively support MCR young people to set, experience then follow their education and employment pathways.

- Evidence progression, impact and best practice with YP input, quantitative feedback and qualitative case studies.

About you:

- Exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships with young people aged 11-18 years, education colleagues, volunteer mentors and local employers.

- Awareness and understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection.

- Ability and confidence to present programme information & deliver prepared training sessions to groups.

- Ability to work well on own initiative, as part of a team and on a flexible basis in response to young person and organisational need.

- An understanding of the challenges and barriers that care-experienced and/or vulnerable young people may encounter.

- Experience or a knowledge of processes to document and evidence good practice and positive outcomes.

You may have experience as a Youth, Community or Advice Worker. You will be an empathetic person who is open minded, non-judgemental, resilient and who is driven to improve outcomes for care experienced and other vulnerable young people.

We are recruiting for a Service Manager to lead the management and ongoing development of supported accommodation, counselling and mentoring services across Orkney, ensuring each programme is delivered to a high standard which meets the needs of the people we support.

We are Right There, a charity celebrating our 200th anniversary. We provide tailored support for people, at home, and in the community. We are here for people who are living with the effects of homelessness, poverty, substance use, or family breakdowns.

The Service Manager will be responsible for leading day-to-day delivery of the services, driving delivery performance and encouraging a culture of support with dignity and respect.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

People Management

• Provide leadership and management and act as a role model for Right There staff by developing supportive relationships with your team
• Provide support and leadership to Senior Support Workers and Support Workers
• Arrange and facilitate regular support and supervision sessions with your team
• Complete annual appraisals and personal development plans

Programme Delivery

• Maintain all contractual obligations ensuring that individual needs are met through a process of regular review and support
• Lead and support new initiatives and the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines as they impact on the programme
• Ensure those we support are involved in the development and improvement of the programme and that feedback mechanisms are in place for the people we support
• Shared On-call rota responsibilities

External Relationships

• Report to the Care Inspectorate, ensuring all required reports, returns and documentation are completed and submitted within timescales

What we expect from you..

We’re looking for you to have gained experience of managing a service with a proven track record in effective service planning including setting and managing budgets, and quality assurance. We need you to be qualified to SVQ 3 Social Services & Healthcare SCQF Level 7, or have an HNC in Social Services. You will also be qualified to, or be willing to work towards SVQ 4 Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 9.

Management experience gained in Third Sector/Not for Profit organisations providing housing, social care and support services is highly beneficial.

What you can expect from us..

• The post holder will report to the Locality Manager
• Your normal working hours are 35 per week. These hours are usually worked Monday to Friday, and flexibly between the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm, depending on the needs of the service, with 1 hour-unpaid break.
• Your usual place of work will be Glaitness Farmhouse, Glaitness Road, Kirkwall, KW15 1TN. Working arrangements are in agreement with the line manager based on the needs of the service
• Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata in your first year, rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata in your second year. This includes public holidays
