Intensive Support Team – Youth Support Worker

  • £18,771 for 21 hours a week (to be worked over Monday to Thursday). Post funded initially until March 2026 with continuation dependent on funding.

Role

To provide 1:1 support and potentially group based support to children and young people living in Pilton and the surrounding areas, in North West Edinburgh.

Pilton is an area of multiple deprivation where young people and families face a range of challenges.

Support sessions will take place across the week, usually in schools. The service is referral based working with a host of other organisations and also taking referrals from young people and families.

The Youth Support Worker will support young people with a range of issues affecting their lives, such as social isolation, school related difficulties, family problems, or poor mental health.

The Youth Support worker will develop a tailored plan with each young person to work towards positive outcomes in their lives.
