Our Residential Support Worker opportunities are a great opportunity for those experienced working in a care setting and looking to implement those skills with an aim to progress to the next stage of their career with our help. You'll manage risk in a way which empowers young people and builds resilience, whilst at the same time ensuring their safety. You'll demonstrate a high standard of person-centred practice, have good social care values and be a strong role model to our children and young people.

About the service
At Woodburn, we understand how important it is to replicate a warm home environment for young people. We provide full-time care and support for two young people with learning disabilities who at times present behaviour that challenges and are unable to live with their own families. We focus on building meaningful relationships with children and young people and being able to support them achieving outcomes and gaining new skills and independence(whether that's making their own toast or independently accessing the community).
You’ll care for our young people by assisting with their daily routines, providing personal care, and administering medication after appropriate training. You’ll collaborate with the team to create and implement individualised plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
Additionally, you’ll engage our young people in activities they enjoy, such as arts and crafts, puzzles, X-Box, walks, swimming, and more!
We firmly believe that behaviour is communication and work to identify what the young people are trying to tell us through their behaviour and support them to communicate that in a positive way.

Edinburgh Family Support Partnership is a transformational new collaboration between City of Edinburgh Children's Services, Barnardo's Scotland, Children 1st, Citadel, Safe Families and Edinburgh Community Food. Our aim is to radically transform how Edinburgh Children's Services and partners deliver services to families within the city of Edinburgh whilst simultaneously improving a family's journey through the current complex landscape of accessing family support.
Our multi-disciplinary teams will be community based, in each of the 4 locality areas across the city of Edinburgh. As well as connecting families with holistic responsive and flexible support the multi-disciplinary teams will empower families to ‘reach in' themselves and be supported along their journey through a relational and strengths-based approach.
Our aim of providing early intervention that empowers families to take control encourages an integrated approach, leads to tailored plans and provides the right support when it is needed and diverts children and families from escalating into statutory processes. Families are at the heart of our approach and restorative family led decision making drives our support in partnership with families, their networks, communities and enables them to address challenges before they become a crisis.

About Aberlour Youthpoint Moray
Our Youthpoint Moray service provides help to children and young people in Moray who may be struggling with their emotions and behaviour, prompting concerns about their well-being.
Aberlour Youthpoint Moray offers a range of services which works with young people aged 10-26 which include our Intensive Community Support and Early Help Services. In addition to these we have developed a YP-Zone, the purpose of this service is to improve the wellbeing, social integration and life chances of Young People affected by substance use in Moray.
These services are provided in a variety of ways, including 1 to 1’s, group work and family support.
What we are looking for....
We are seeking a passionate, creative and organised individual to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator, working 30 hours per week. These hours will be worked during office hours with regular evening and weekend working. This role is currently funded for 12 months with the possibility of funding beyond this.
You will hold a relevant qualification at SCQF level 7 or above or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means.
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training and managing our volunteering and mentoring service as well mentoring a caseload of young people. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our mentoring service. You will also be responsible for the development and expansion of our current volunteer and mentoring service. You will work within a variety of locations in the Moray area. The role will also involve liaising with partner agencies and regular travel throughout the Moray area is expected. A driving licence is essential for this role.
