VisionPK is an exciting and growing charity, recently opening our new Sensory Hub in the heart of Perth. We provide specialist services for people with sight and hearing loss living within the Perth and Kinross local authority area.

We are currently recruiting a proactive and organised Operations Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential support in various operational areas, including daily reception duties, equipment procurement, administration tasks, health and safety compliance, and liaising with service users and suppliers, both over the phone and in person. The role also involves assisting the Operations Support Manager in day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth business operations.

The Role

Reception and Customer Service:

• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them appropriately.
• Address inquiries and provide accurate information about VisionPK services.
• Develop knowledge of other services for signposting and referring as required.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of aids and equipment available for people with a sensory impairment in order to be able to effectively demonstrate/issue/sell simple aids and equipment to sensory impaired people.
• Update client database and create / maintain records as required.
• Coordinate the ordering, tracking and distribution of stock, supplies, sensory aids and equipment and process orders and sales of these as required
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment.

Operations Support:

• Assist the Operations Support Manager with administrative tasks and project coordination.
• Support scheduling, meeting arrangements, and documentation management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency.
• Support with preparation and distribution of quarterly newsletter.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in reporting and resolving health and safety incidents.

Supplier and Customer Relations:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality service.
• Coordinate with customers to manage orders, deliveries, and resolve issues promptly.
• Handle invoicing, payment follow-ups, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

About You

• Previous experience in operations, administration, or a similar support role.
• Competent at IT, use of Microsoft programmes and databases for recording activity.
• Experience of GDPR / Confidentiality compliance
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive, collaborative, and compassionate individual who is passionate about making a positive difference.

The Role

As Volunteer Development Officer, you will be responsible for many aspects of volunteer development such as recruitment, induction, training, retention, motivation and engagement. Reporting to the Head of Volunteer Development, your main responsibilities will include:

• Promote volunteering within the organisation
• Plan, organise and monitor volunteering activities to deliver St Andrew’s First Aid’s charitable aims
• Learning and development
• Manage volunteer conduct, addressing problems with performance and ensuring the quality of services are upheld by volunteers
• Promote productive working relationships between volunteers and other stakeholders
• Organise events involving volunteers such as meetings, seminars, forums, internal conferences, promotional events and social events
• Deal with conflict, volunteer conduct issues to mediate and resolve
• To represent the organisation as appropriate at meetings of relevant external stakeholders/organisations/partners
• Support the team in ad hoc administration duties.

We are looking for a highly motivated Autism Co-ordinator to join our Transition Services team, focussed on delivery and development of our Enterprise project.

Despite their desire to work, recent statistics tell us that nationally only 3 in 10 autistic people are in employment (The Buckland Review of Autism Employment, UK Government, 2024), and through our Transition Services at Perth Autism Support, we aim to change that narrative locally through both our Enterprise project, supporting autistic teens aged 14-16 years and our Employability project, from the age of 16-24 years.

As part of our wider Transition Services, you will be central to the successful delivery of a high-quality young person focussed service provide a fun, meaningful programme of Enterprise projects, to develop early employability skills:

- Skills development – customer service, budgeting, planning etc.

The role of Autism Co-ordinator is to lead the planning, preparation and delivery of our Enterprise programmes, using local networks and connections to look for development opportunities to continue to develop the service, whilst supporting our wider Employability work.

We are looking for a highly motivated person-centred team leader to join our Family and Education Services Team.

The job role will lead the operational day to day delivery of a high quality family support service for parents/carers of autistic children and young people and provide a comprehensive school support

service to our education colleagues across Perth & Kinross.

Working with the operational team to ensure that family support planning is effective and engaging, the post holder will also support the Service Manager to understand trends and themes, to help innovate and develop the service. You will lead on funded projects, working within budgets set for projects and support the day to day staffing of the operational team, including performance reviews, identification of learning and development needs and caseload support, advice and information.

Responsible for staffing the service, and allocating caseloads, you will also be involved in all aspects of team management including annual leave and sickness absence and supporting our team to ensure a healthy work life balance.

You will be an ambassador for Perth Autism Support, building relationships across the community to further our vision to support autistic children and young people to reach their full potential.
