Role

Connect Community Trust is a Development Trust and Social Enterprise based within the Greater Easterhouse and East End of Glasgow. Our organisation is first and foremost community-led, with the community at the heart of everything we do. Connect is a forward thinking, creative and diverse organisation that has an ambitious and exciting future ahead with a dedicated and committed team of staff, volunteers and Board.

We are looking to add to our staff team as we move forward to the next phase of our development. These newly created positions will be a core part of our organisations vision to increase the opportunities and support services for local people.

Funded by The National Lottery Cost of Living Fund, this role focuses on supporting local people access a welfare rights service providing support and information on income maximisation, financial capability, DWP and Social Security Scotland benefits and entitlements.

You will work within our Welfare Rights team and alongside our Employability, Digital, Youth & Families teams utilising a joined-up approach to provide a well-rounded and inclusive service, ensuring local residents are aware of and are accessing other services where required.

You will have experience of providing financial inclusion/ welfare rights activity to people in communities and be passionate about supporting people to improve and enhance their lives through income maximisation.
