Role

We are recruiting for the post of Income Generation Lead to join our Development team. The post holder will be responsible for leading the development and submission of tender opportunities and grant funding whilst managing the associated monitoring process, contract management responsibility and timely reporting to funders. The Income Generation Lead will also line manage the Funding Officer.

We are Right There, a charity celebrating our 200th anniversary. We provide tailored support for people, at home, and in the community. We are here for people who are living with the effects of homelessness, poverty, substance use, or family breakdowns.

Last year we supported almost 4,000 individuals, helping to prevent them from becoming homeless or separated from the people they love. Every person’s story is unique, and everyone’s route home is different - it doesn’t matter what the situation is – we’re not here to judge, only to help.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for scoping, preparing and submitting tender opportunities, funding proposals and grants whilst supporting the development of new approaches towards programme delivery
  • Coordination, facilitation and project management responsibility oversight of the bid management process
  • Management and monitoring of contracts and grants including active mapping and tracking of incomes streams and effective resubmission process
  • Development of funding /income pipeline portfolio, providing regular review of diverse income opportunities across 3rd sector landscape
  • Develop engaging partnerships with external agencies and funders
  • Completion of grant reports in line with contractual compliance
  • Senior Management team reporting
  • Line manage the Funding Officer to pursue the strategic aims of the organisation
  • Support communication with fundraising and the development of a CRM system
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of current trends and developments across the sector and political landscape, creating a live knowledge bank that benefits the organisation

What we expect from you.

We’re looking for someone who has a demonstrable track record in tender/grant fundraising coupled with proven bid management experience, from identifying opportunities to successful submission/completion. You will also have excellent knowledge and understanding of the landscape in which Right There operates, including understanding of current legislation, policies and strategies relating to housing, social work, social care and family support services.

This role offers hybrid working, it is expected to be on average 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

What you can expect from us.

  • The post holder will report to the Director of Development
  • Working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexibly between the hours of 8am and 6pm with core hours over the period from 10am to 4pm, with 1 hour unpaid break
  • Your usual place of work will be 15 Dava Street, Glasgow, G51 2JA. You may also choose to work remotely from your home address where appropriate, working arrangements are in agreement with your line manager based on the needs of the service
  • Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata in your first year, rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata in your second year. This includes public holidays
  • You will automatically be enrolled into the People’s Pension in the month that you will complete 3-months of employment, providing you meet the auto-enrolment criteria
