What will you do as Corporate Partnerships Manager?

Here at BTA, we have been given the fantastic opportunity of representing SAMH in their search for their new Corporate Partnerships Manager. Your expertise in account and relationship management will be crucial in building long-term, sustainable financial support where you will play a pivotal part in managing corporate partnerships that provide vital funding for SAMH mental health programs.

In this role you will be responsible for managing multi-year partnerships and delivering exceptional stewardship journeys for corporate supporters. Additionally, you will have a vital role in the Account Management team, while also collaborating closely with colleagues across the Fundraising Department and wider SAMH to fully maximise all opportunities for our partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Direct Line Management – Provide leadership and guidance to a team of two Account Managers, supporting their development and success. You will also support the Senior Manager in maximising the corporate income stream through partnership work.
• Account Management – Understanding funding mechanisms and processes is required to create relevant and innovative offerings tailored to partner needs making SAMH more attractive to corporate sponsors.
• Maximising Partnerships - Delivering high-quality, impactful partnerships that consistently meet or exceed partner expectations. Executing partnership projects flawlessly, building trust and paving the way for future collaboration and increased financial contributions.
• Relationship Management – Maintaining the current partnerships within SAMH, building and growing ongoing relationships to encourage long-term support and funding.
• Representation – Act as a passionate ambassador for SAMH, effectively representing our values and mission to external stakeholders and partners and advocating for mental health awareness and support in all interactions.

What does SAMH need from you?

Experience:

• Strong experience in meeting and exceeding income or fundraising targets, with the ability to develop and implement successful partnership strategies.
• Knowledge in managing corporate partnerships, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Demonstrable experience of line managing staff, including supporting and developing staff – desirable.

Key Skills and Attributes

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence in public speaking/presentations and report writing.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to identify new business development opportunities and areas for partnership growth.

We are seeking a Helpline Support Worker (0.8 – 1.0 FTE) to support a number of national programmes and services, including Scottish Families Helpline, Click & Deliver Naloxone, and Bereavement Support services. The post operates as the first point of contact for family members (age 16+) affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use, and others contacting our Helpline and associated services.

The role includes:

• Helpline & National Support: Providing empathetic support and accurate information, signposting enquiries, taking referrals and all associated administrative processes associated with Scottish Families’ national Helpline. The Helpline contact will be multi-channel (phone and online communication, including email and webchat).
• Bereavement Service Support: Conducting virtual assessments, delivering short-term bereavement support.
• Click and Deliver Naloxone service: Fulfilling Naloxone orders for family members (age 16+) and others resident in Scotland, ensuring data is captured accurately, and supporting overall programme delivery.
• Scottish Families’ Service Directory: Delivering an ongoing programme of content revision of Scottish Families’ National Service Directory to ensure all information is accurate and current, through actively liaising with support services across Scotland.
• Volunteers: Working in conjunction with the Befriending & Volunteering Assistant, supporting our volunteers in their role and handling any escalated complex calls.

The post is located at Edward House, Glasgow – Scottish Families’ national office. Note that staff work flexibly between home and office, but the post-holder is expected to work in the office at least two days a week. The postholder will be required to work some early evenings and occasional weekend hours to support planned Helpline coverage and event commitments. The post will be part of the Scottish Families’ staff team and be supervised by the Development Officer (National Support and Harm Reduction).

We are seeking applicants who are educated to HNC level or equivalent, with experience of providing support and information within a helpline or telephone capacity, and providing support in a health and social care setting. Applicants should have knowledge of issues for families affected by substance use, as well as the ability to listen to and support individuals from diverse demographics, and excellent IT skills, particularly use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel). We are seeking applicants with the ability to identify and evaluate risk relating to safeguarding; an empathetic, non-judgemental approach; and the ability to work in a team and work independently.

We are seeking a Business Support Administrator (0.8-1.0 FTE) to provide a full range of business and administrative support to Scottish Families’ Board and staff team across the whole organisation.

The post is based at Edward House, Glasgow – Scottish Families’ national office. Staff work flexibly between home and office, but the post-holder is expected to work in the office at least two days a week. The post is a national support role and so involves occasional travel and very occasional out-of-hours working for meetings and events. The post is part of the Scottish Families’ staff team and is supervised by the CEO. The post is one of two business support posts within the organisation.

The post-holder will assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of organisational and office systems, including our Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and HR systems. Responsibilities include handling basic Salesforce administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks, as well as supporting financial processing systems (including processing incoming invoices and raising outgoing invoices, financial record-keeping, petty cash-handling and reconciliation). The post provides secretariat support to the Scottish Families Board and Business Committee, including minute-taking, as well as business support across the Scottish Families team as appropriate, to support service delivery. The role also involves preparing high quality reports, presentation materials and other documents; assisting with event management; and providing administrative support for Scottish Families networks and meetings.

We are seeking applicants who have a minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience; with experience of the use and understanding of the Salesforce Platform (Customer Relationship Management [CRM] system); financial processing, systems and record keeping; managing corporate correspondence; office management; and event management. Knowledge of SAGE or a similar accounting package, along with awareness of issues for families affected by substance use, and an understanding of the voluntary sector are all an advantage. Applicants must have outstanding IT skills (including full range of Microsoft packages and Outlook 365 including Sharepoint); the ability to produce high quality reports, presentations and other documents; to work on their own initiative with excellent organisational skills, and to prioritise their workload. The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Project Officer to support our exciting Art of Family Life project.

This exciting Project Officer role will coordinate the delivery of the ‘Art of Family Life’ project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This role will take an innovative approach to bringing together heritage learning to positively impact on the wellbeing of people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds living in Scotland. Key tasks of the role will include recruiting volunteers and sessional workers to support an oral history collection programme. This will be followed by a creative process to explore how the heritage of family life among families from refugee backgrounds can be curated and shared publicly.

What does the role involve?

• Promoting the programme to a wide range of audiences including with refugee led community organisations
• Coordinating with project partners and supporters including Oral History Centre at the University of Strathclyde, Common Ground at the Centre for Contemporary Arts and Glasgow Life and organising project events
• Recruiting and supporting sessional workers volunteers to promote and engage project activities
• Collect project impact data and support reporting to funder(s) on progress and finances
