We support philanthropists to help their personal giving make the most difference. We work with donors to invest in community action that enables people and places to flourish. We work in partnership with communities to maximise opportunities from place-based funds. And we offer social investment opportunities to enable social enterprises, community organisations and charities to grow and deliver positive social impact.

Our Social Investment Team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise, facilitating unique delivery and management of a portfolio of loan and grant investments to social enterprises. There is a low level of knowledge about social investment, and senior social investment executive, you will have a key role in helping to raise awareness and understanding of the exciting opportunities that come from this type of funding model.

As the grant funding environment becomes more challenging, the wider community, charity and social enterprise sectors have the potential to take on loan finance, and our growing portfolio of investees bears this out.

Key responsibilities will include the process of applications from social enterprises, making loan assessments and the preparation of complex detailed financial reports. You will provide effective support to our Social Investment Committee, maintaining systems for monitoring their work.

Reporting to the Head of Social Investment, this role requires excellent financial acumen, critical and analytical thinking with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, while working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Your standards will be impeccable, your attitude positive and you must have the motivation to help us continue to make a positive impact on society in Scotland.
