We are a small charity dedicated to supporting older, vulnerable, and isolated individuals. In this role, you will work closely with the Service Activities Lead and the Senior Leadership Team to promote, develop, and deliver our services at CACE. You will also collaborate with and support our volunteers, ensuring that all services align with CACE's policies and procedures.

You will also provide opportunities for them to explore fun, stimulating activities that encourage new skills and help maintain their independence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Officer to join our well established Befriending Service in the East Dunbartonshire area. This is a 14 hour per week post with some flexibility regarding specific days of work which can be negotiated. The post is based in our office in Kirkintilloch although there may be some opportunities for working from home.

The post includes undertaking a full range of admin supports to ensure the efficient operation of the service and involves working closely with the Service Manager and other members of the staff team.

The East Dunbartonshire Befriending Service provides support and companionship to individuals who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation by promoting independence, increasing confidence, engaging with the community and improving health and wellbeing.

Support is delivered on a one-to-one basis, through group befriending, or by establishing a befriending telephone relationship. It also provides a Lunch Club and a range of events throughout the year.

Early Years Scotland is looking for an exceptional person to work within the EYS Family Visitor Centre at HMP Low Moss, East Dunbartonshire.

The Co-ordinator will facilitate, manage, and oversee the running of the Family Visitor Centre, line manage a Family Engagement Practitioner, a Family Support Worker and co-ordinate the contribution of volunteers. They will liaise and work alongside prison staff and community-based organisations to develop the provision and the services available to visitors to ensure the three core functions:

• Improve the visits experience for people visiting their family member or loved ones in prison.
• Allow families to access independent and impartial advice, information and support, which meets their needs.
• Voice the needs of families affected by imprisonment to the prison they work alongside.

The Early Years Scotland team will provide a range of services, advice, support and information as required to suit the needs of the children and families in their visits and in their daily lives.

Post Details (all pay and allowances are pro-rata and subject to continued funding)

• 30 hours per week over 52 weeks per annum (includes 1 weekend in 3, 1 – 4.30pm and evening work 12.30pm – 7.30pm)
• Salary starting at £27,360 FTE per annum
• Fixed Term to 31 March 2025 (subject to continued funding)
• 20 days annual leave in the first year of service rising to 30 days thereafter
• 12 public holidays per year

Would you like to join a vibrant, exciting team working alongside families and volunteers in North Lanarkshire?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Lanarkshire to be part of a new early intervention family support service – Families Here and Now. This project is funded by North Lanarkshire Council and will provide holistic support for the whole family in local communities/hub areas.

You will play a key role in developing this service alongside families and community partners. The service is a collaboration between four charities: Barnardo’s, Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire (HSGNNL), Action for Children and Impact Arts, and you will work closely with colleagues from these organisations.

This outreach support role covers the North Lanarkshire area, based in or around community hubs/schools/nurseries and family homes. The aim of the service is to enable families (pregnant and/or with children up to age 18 years/26 years for care experienced children) to access supports at the earliest possible time, ensuring a ‘whole family’ and ‘no wrong door’ approach.

The service will operate 7 days a week between the hours of 8 am – 8 pm, 365 days per year.

The postholder will be required to work at least one evening every fortnight and at least one weekend every 8 weeks.

The role is initially funded until April 2027.
