This is an exciting opportunity to join our ‘Rights Way’ Project supporting unpaid carers in Dundee.
As Groupwork Development Worker you will work as part of a team to develop and deliver peer lead Groupwork Programmes and Bitesize Sessions for unpaid carers. You will have a good standard of education, experience of working with people in an outcome focused way and be committed to working in a co-productive manner with carers, volunteers and local partner agencies.

The Service
The Link Academy team works primarily with people with complex backgrounds. The service works hard and creatively to maintain the early engagement of participants. We support people by offering mental health and wellbeing programmes, independent living skills and a wide range of qualifications to support their progression including employability, tenancy, personal development and leadership award qualifications.
The Job
The purpose of the job is to support people to achieve their goals and aspirations through group work by providing opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting the programme participants. You will support the achievement of high standards and provide monitoring information in relation to the project’s outcomes.
You will ensure that opportunities are provided to people equipping them with the skills to make a valuable contribution to the service and their wider community. You will support people into a positive destination whether that be re-engagement with education, training or employment. The Project Worker will provide support and offer guidance to programme participants, develop relationships with other agencies and services and actively promote LinkLiving’s programmes and services.
About You
You will have a good standard of education with standard grade passes (or equivalent) in core subjects such as English and Maths. Your background includes a proven track record of co-ordinating training courses, showcasing your organisational and logistical skills. You are knowledgeable about the Trauma Skilled Practice Framework (NES Framework) and understand its application. Additionally, you have experience working with individuals who have complex needs or backgrounds, demonstrating your ability to handle diverse and challenging situations.
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential. You possess a solid understanding of the employability sector and volunteering initiatives, enabling you to contribute effectively to our mission. Your excellent written and oral communication skills allow you to convey information clearly and effectively.
You have experience in developing and delivering training programmes, showing your ability to educate and inspire others. Understanding and applying evaluation methods to ensure the effectiveness of training is another of your strengths, ensuring continuous improvement. You possess a non-judgemental attitude and a willingness to embrace diversity, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
Adaptability is one of your key traits, allowing you to thrive in new environments and challenges with ease. You work openly and honestly within a team setting, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work culture. Your ability to prioritise and plan your workload, as well as that of team members, ensures efficient and effective task management.

We are looking for an individual who can integrate seamlessly into our existing team, working alongside it and relief adults to support excellent service delivery. We are looking for a Residential Worker to work 37.5 hours per week, covering maternity until October 2025, on a residential rota including early, late, waken nights, sleepovers and weekend shifts. You will have a knowledge and understanding of the importance of attachment, trauma and how this can impact on an individual’s development. At times our children express their distress through their behaviour and the role can be emotionally and physically challenging; we are therefore looking for someone who is resilient, understands that behaviour is a means of communication and is trauma responsive.
You will be skilled in building therapeutic relationships with the children, young people and young adults to enable them to feel safe, loved and cared for.
You must have the ability to quickly build your relationships with the adults within the house. The nature of the role is such that you could be working to cover a shift or longer periods as required, including days and wakened nightshifts and you may also be supporting young people to attend school or participate in other learning programmes. You must therefore be able to quickly adapt to the working environment within each house.
You will be comfortable with working within Aberlour’s culture embracing respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. Demonstration of these qualities will be particularly important in this role given that you will be dipping in and out of the different teams. You must be able to be an exceptional role model for other staff and the young person.
Undertaking the role of Residential Worker will afford you the opportunity to develop and build on a range of transferrable skills which are valued in a range of employment. Can you work with a local community to encourage their explorations of the Christian faith?
We are looking for someone with a deep and mature Christian faith who has experience of working across communities, and working with families and Under-40s to join our Christian Outreach Leadership team and work alongside a vibrant and enthusiastic team of volunteers.
Our Full-Time Christian Outreach Leader who will play a key leadership role within the Dunblane Church of Scotland Grouping (DCG), to reach out across the community of Dunblane (Perthshire, Scotland). With a strong focus on those under the age of 40, the post holder will explore, coordinate and deliver ways in which connections can be made to those in the community who might be encouraged to explore the Christian faith. The role holder will undertake a range of Community Outreach duties that will look at, and deliver, patterns of worship more relevant to this age group.
Please note that this role is currently funded through an award received from Seeds For Change and is for a 3 year period in the first instance after which other funds to support the role will need to be found.
Organisation profile:
The Dunblane Church of Scotland Grouping (DCG), Dunblane Cathedral and St. Blane's wish to consolidate and further develop previous outreach work in the parishes, which started to draw the Churches in the grouping together in a new way. The Dunblane community covers parishes of around 13,000 people of which approximately 41% are under the age of 40yrs and 42% of the population state they have no religion. There is a strong and cohesive sense of community expressed by residents, a variety of opportunities available, often at cost, and excellent uniformed organisations in the area. However, there are also issues of isolation, lack of youth space and a desire to form new worshipping communities.
The Christian Outreach Leader will work within the existing ministry team within the DCG, supported by the Leadership Team (LT), which comprises seven elders and members from Dunblane Cathedral & St. Blane’s, and existing volunteer groups within the grouping to deliver on the aims and objectives of this role. The role holder is expected to participate, on an agreed basis, in worship at churches within the DCG.
The role holder will report to the LT on a quarterly basis to monitor progress and steer direction of the Christian Outreach Activities. The LT will then report to the respective Kirk Sessions of the two churches.
Please note that it is an essential requirement of this role that the post-holder is a committed Christian with a live church connection, which is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010.
