Role

Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust Limited (SFCT) is a dynamic not-for-profit community company dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents within the Stratherrick and Foyers area. Established in 2004, the Trust focuses on community development, environmental protection, and economic sustainability by managing and distributing funds from local green energy projects. Their vision emphasises engaging with the community on issues that matter most, supporting initiatives that prevent poverty, advance education, and promote heritage, all while fostering recreational opportunities and environmental stewardship.

The role

The Chief Executive of Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust will lead and manage the organisation's operations, ensuring financial sustainability while fostering relationships with community members, stakeholders, and funders. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff, developing long-term financial strategies, ensuring effective project management, and maintaining governance standards.

The role also involves spearheading community projects, securing external funding, and promoting the Trust's mission to enhance the quality of life for residents in the Stratherrick and Foyers communities.

The person

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in managing and motivating staff, and a solid understanding of public, private, and voluntary sectors. They should have a proven track record in community development or business management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build professional relationships.

Expertise in financial management, project management, and securing funding is essential, along with a deep understanding of community development trusts. A degree or equivalent experience in business or community management is required. Previous experience working within a development trust or non-governmental organisation is desirable but not essential.

If you're a passionate leader who would like to drive the Trust forward and be an inspirational face to the organisation and to make a tangible difference to the lives of the Stratherrick and Foyers community, we’d love to hear from you.
