Role
The work at the Centre is greatly supported by a team of dedicated volunteers. A key aspect to this role will be to recruit, induct, manage and support volunteers to work across all aspects of The Women's Centre Glasgow

The Women’s Centre Glasgow provides a safe, confidential and welcoming space to women living in the city and surrounding area. We provide a range of activities and services including; a drop-in café, counselling, health and wellbeing services, mother and baby classes, creative and educational activities. We welcome women of all identities and believe in the power of working together to bring about positive change.

The Women’s Centre Glasgow has a long history of making a difference to the lives of women, we are seeking to build on our existing programme by responding creatively to the needs of women who currently use the centre and to develop work which will attract new community members and volunteers to the Centre. This work will positively impact and empower women.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for developing our current volunteer programme which supports the work of the centre.
You will be entitled to 20 days Annual Leave, Public Holidays, and extra days during Christmas shutdown.

Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid is seeking to recruit a women’s worker to provide support to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse.
Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid supports women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse primarily from the Asian, Black and Minority Ethnic Community.
Experience of working with women and knowledge and understanding of the impact of domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based abuse on women primarily from minority ethnic backgrounds is required.
A suitable qualification that meets with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) housing support registration is required otherwise training will be provided.
The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of domestic abuse and to the values of Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid. It is essential that you are bilingual and speak English and Hindi, Punjabi, or Urdu.

About Women’s Aid
Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire are a charity registered with the Office of Scottish Charity Regulator, we are set up to provide support to women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse.
We currently have an opportunity for a Trainee Refuge Support Worker (21 hours) to join our team based out of our East Kilbride office. You’ll join an inspiring team who do exceptional work to support the most vulnerable women in our community.
We fully support flexible working and this role can be considered across a range of working patterns. Upon completion of probation and training hybrid working is also offered.

Are you passionate about women and children’s rights? Do you have the skills, knowledge and experience to work with women who have been subjected to domestic abuse? Do you have a firm understanding of gender-based violence and women’s inequalities? If so, this is the challenging position for you.
The women’s support worker will support women and where appropriate their accompanying family within our refuge accommodation and be part of responding to the needs of women / families seeking safe refuge accommodation. The role requires of range of experience and skills. You must be able to work independently and manage your workload. You must have a strong commitment to women’s equality and have a feminist understanding of domestic abuse. You will have strong communications skills and be able develop and maintain positive working relationships. Must hold a current driving licence and have access to own transport.
Dumbarton District Women's Aid offers support, information and temporary accommodation for women and their children who have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused by a partner or former partner. We provide refuge, information and support services for women, children and young people in the West Dunbartonshire area who are victims of domestic abuse.
