  • Sessional staff hours are variable and the rate of pay is £12.60 per hour (unqualified) or £13.50 per hour (youth work qualification).

Role

SCOREscotland is based in South West Edinburgh. Our mission and purpose for existence is to work in partnership with others to address the causes and effects of racism and to promote race equality and break down barriers to the full participation of local black and minority ethnic communities in all aspects of civic life. As a small organisation we offer the benefits of working in a team that is committed to making a difference to the people that we work with.

We are looking for skilled and experienced Sessional Youth and Children’s Workers who are passionate about engaging with children and young people and about supporting them to make progress on our outcomes.

Are you passionate about working with young people?

Are you interested in working with the black and minority ethnic (BME) communities?

Are you professional and positive?

Are you a creative team player?

Do you have skills that you would like to share with young people?

The beauty of being a sessional worker is you can vary your hours from weekly to monthly sessions. Our group ages are: 7 – 10, 11 – 14, 15 – 17 and 18 – 24 years old.

We are based at WHALE Arts Centre, Wester Hailes but we take our young people throughout the city and beyond.
