Lanarkshire Carers is recruiting a Human Resource Co-ordinator to join our professional and committed staff team working to make a positive difference delivering information, advice and support services for unpaid carers throughout Lanarkshire. The position is part time, up to 21 hours per week, which is negotiable for the right candidate, meaning options for less hours could be considered.

The role of Human Resources Co-ordinator is a new role developed to support the management team with the delivery of the organisations human resource business functions, helping to ensure we recruit and retain high quality staff and have effective people management and development processes. You will assist the Board of Directors, as part of the leadership team within the Business/Finance support, progressing their ambition to be an employer of choice. You will have a relevant qualification and/or experience that demonstrates the knowledge and skills required for this role. You will understand HR policy, practice and procedures and how to support managers with all aspects of this work. You might also have an understanding of the impact of caring, the issues unpaid carers face, the services Lanarkshire Carers provides and our organisational structure.

PVG

Post holders require a countersigned membership of the PVG scheme.

Our workstyles

Post holders will be based between our centres in Hamilton and Airdrie, and localities throughout Lanarkshire. Working from home/hybrid working may also be required.

All staff work on an outreach basis in community, health and social care venues across Lanarkshire.

Glasgow North East Carers Centre provides supports and services to unpaid family Carers who look after a family member or friend who cannot manage alone due to illness or disability, including Young Carers and their families.

We are looking to recruit a Carer Peer Support Worker who will help us deliver, develop and expand our services to Carers, including Young Carers, throughout the North East of Glasgow.

The successful candidate will work to develop support groups across the North East area, both those for Young Carers, and those for Adult Carers. These groups will provide opportunities such as information and advice whilst allowing Carers to take a break from their caring roles and come together with others experiencing similar circumstances.

The post is a flexible 35hr working week as it includes evening work, and occasionally weekend hours may be required.

A driving licence and use of a car is essential for the post.

All successful candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme (or to have their membership updated).

Glasgow North East Carers Centre provides supports and services to unpaid family Carers who look after a family member or friend who cannot manage alone due to illness or disability, including Young Carers and their families.

We are looking to recruit a Young Carer Worker who will help us deliver, develop and expand our services to Young Carers and their families throughout the North East of Glasgow.

The successful candidate will work with Young Carers and their families to help identify and provide services personalised to their own situation and experiences. This could include supports such as information and advice, emotional supports and breaks from caring delivered via a range of methods including on a one to one basis, family supports and groupwork activities.

The post is a flexible 35hr working week as it includes evening work, and occasionally weekend hours may be required.

A driving licence and use of a car is essential for the post.

Dundee Carers Centre is a thriving and innovative local charity providing information and support services for disabled people and carers. These are exciting opportunities to join the Carers Support Team.

The successful applicant will provide one to one and group support to unpaid carers of all ages. Learning, training, accreditation, trips and residentials also contribute to the broad range of support opportunities the successful candidate will be involved in providing. This will include delivering support in partnership with other agencies such as schools, community groups and statutory partners.
