About the Corstorphine Dementia Project

The Corstorphine Dementia Project is an established and well-loved community charity that is dedicated to providing quality day services to individuals in the local area living with dementia. Our popular day centre, the Jubilee Club, is registered with the Care Inspectorate and offers up to 70 places a week. Whilst there individuals enjoy participating in a wide selection of activities whilst being supported by our skilled and dedicated staff. In addition to the Jubilee Club, we deliver a fortnightly Teatime Club which is attended by people living with dementia and their carers.

Taking direction from the Trustee Management Committee the postholder will deal with the practical and administrative tasks associated with the smooth operation of the organisation including the weekly sessions.

Working closely with the board of trustees, this is a key role within Contact Point. As a small charitable organisation we need an experienced individual to develop and maintain robust administrative/finance and office systems, to ensure the smooth operation of the organisation.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Contact Point projects alongside experienced members of operational staff. This is a diverse role and would suit someone with a strong administrative background with experience of finance and management, ideally with both an understanding and experience of the voluntary sector. As well as the administrative side of the role you will also be involved in our Social Interaction Groups (SIGs), interacting with our members, and supporting the operational side of the groups.

Glasgow North East Carers Centre provides supports and services to unpaid family Carers who look after a family member or friend who cannot manage alone due to illness or disability, including Young Carers and their families.

We are looking to recruit a Carer Peer Support Worker who will help us deliver, develop and expand our services to Carers, including Young Carers, throughout the North East of Glasgow.

The successful candidate will work to develop support groups across the North East area, both those for Young Carers, and those for Adult Carers. These groups will provide opportunities such as information and advice whilst allowing Carers to take a break from their caring roles and come together with others experiencing similar circumstances.

The post is a flexible 35hr working week as it includes evening work, and occasionally weekend hours may be required.

A driving licence and use of a car is essential for the post.

All successful candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme (or to have their membership updated).

The successful candidate will work with Young Carers and their families to help identify and provide services personalised to their own situation and experiences. This could include supports such as information and advice, emotional supports and breaks from caring delivered via a range of methods including on a one to one basis, family supports and groupwork activities.

The post is a flexible 35hr working week as it includes evening work, and occasionally weekend hours may be required.
