Role

The CITB Construction Work Tasters project is entering its third and final year. The project aims to develop, identify, evaluate and increase the number and quality of work tasters in the construction industry across Scotland. We are seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to help promote and embed these experiences into the Scottish Careers processes, ensuring their sustainability.

If you would like your working day to include activities like:

  • Promoting work taster activities to construction sector employers across Scotland.
  • Supporting employers with planning and executing their work taster activities.
  • Attending work tasters to support delivery, gather information for case studies, and capture feedback from participants.
  • Ensuring employers use project evaluation documents and feedback is collected from young people who attend work tasters.
  • Collaborating with the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Network to promote work tasters and engage employers.
  • Leading the development of resources and guides to support the Construction Work Tasters project.
  • Assisting in the creation of the end-of-project report and embedding work tasters into the Scottish education and skills landscape.

This role has a Scotland national remit and is fixed term, currently funded until 19th June 2025.

The role is classed as ‘Regulated Work’; a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) membership is required (application to the scheme made by us upon conditional offer of the post).
