Our Network Services Team help Citizens Advice Bureaux across all Scottish communities to be inspired by their actions, support them, and offer them guidance and opportunities for initiating social change and making improvements to their own communities through their services.

The team act as a bridge between bureaux and Citizens Advice Scotland and provide vital assistance in the distribution of key messages, the implementation of project co-design and production with bureaux and monitoring the progress of the bureaux.

This post provides a great opportunity for you to provide administration and analytical support to the Network Services Team to support delivery of their core programme of work to the Citizens Advice Bureaux network. The aim of this programme is to build capacity across the Network. The programme consists of a range of core areas from Governance, Volunteering and Net Zero and everything in between.

As an Administration Officer you will be responsible for the collation, analysis, and reporting of statistical and qualitative data to support informed decision-making and optimise administrative effectiveness across various functions of the team, you will also have opportunities to liaise with bureaux directly.

Since 1984 Granton Information Centre (GIC) have worked hard to improve the lives of individuals and families by providing free & impartial advice, advocacy and representation on matters relating to welfare rights, debt and general housing queries. Main Tasks

• Provide advice, assistance and when necessary representation with welfare benefit entitlement claims and money, debt and general housing issues, via centre based, telephone, outreach and home visit appointments.
• Represent claimants at appeal tribunals.
• Record and maintain accurate client case records using our Advice Pro recording system.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of changes and developments in welfare, housing and debt legislation and liaise with colleagues on any issues that need to be communicated wider.

Established in 1978, Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) provides a support, information and advocacy service for women, non-binary people, members of the trans community and young people aged 12 and over in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian who have experienced recent and / or historic sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation. We also work in schools and with young people across Edinburgh and the Lothians, and strategically with multi-agency partners, towards preventing sexual violence.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual to lead on the management and development of our Advocacy Service. The service provides trauma-informed support and advocacy to survivors who are engaged, or considering engaging, with the criminal justice system following an experience of sexual violence.

The Welcome Centre runs through the winter months for rough sleepers in Edinburgh. The Deputy Manager will support Welcome Centre Manager to maintain the Welcome Centre as a safe environment for guests and seek to support the team in all aspects of the service.

The Deputy Manager will provide administrative support and operational management to the staff and volunteers and work as part of a team operating a supportive working community.

You will bring proven leadership experience and have excellent communication skills. You will regularly visit the Welcome Centre and provide on call cover. Ideally you will have an SVQ3 in Health and Social Care/ Promoting independence.

This is a fixed term post with the potential to be made permanent with annually fluctuating hours.
