Role

This is a hybrid role, with opportunity to work from home, whilst also visiting and maintaining a presence at the services you lead. The role will oversee Scottish Residential Glasgow, Specialist Family Residential Harper House, Glasgow Housing, Communities and Justice services.

As Head of Operations, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of services in Scotland, including Care Inspectorate Registered services. You will lead your team to continuously improve and deliver effective high-quality services, ensuring they comply with contractual and regulatory standards.

You will also take a leadership role, working closely with the other Heads of Operations, Deputy Directors and other Operations Managers across the UK.

This role is a member of Phoenix’s Senior Management Team, offering the opportunity to drive change and influence organisational strategy.

About You

To join us as a Head of Operations, you will need:

  • Relevant experience of leading and managing a range of different services across different localities in health and social care, ideally within the field of problematic substance use, mental health or another comparable field
  • Evidence of developing and managing effective partnerships and the ability to network for the benefit of the service and people who use our services
  • Evidence of managing multiple priorities and excellent organisational skills
  • To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with database management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to understand complex information and communicate this to a wide variety of audiences, including trustees, executive directors, senior managers, partners, and commissioners
  • Determination, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support
  • Experience of working across different contracts and meeting KPIs and targets in different services
  • Experience ensuring delivery of different contracts to specifications and requirements of not only commissioners but also other regulators
