The Role:
We are seeking a visionary leader to join Montrose Community Trust as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal role involves developing strategic direction, securing diverse funding streams, and fostering key partnerships to drive MCT forward.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for community development and the skills necessary to lead MCT into a successful future. The CEO will be instrumental in shaping the organisation's strategic vision and ensuring its sustainability.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement MCT’s strategic plan in alignment with the charity’s mission and vision.
- Drive fundraising efforts and secure funding from diverse sources to support MCT’s programmes.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, football organisations, and other relevant entities.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Represent MCT at events and meetings, advocating for the charity’s mission and values.

Tiree Community Development Trust (known as “Urras Thiriodh”) are seeking a Head of Projects to take on a lead role in delivering our ambitious ongoing community development work for the beautiful and vibrant Inner Hebridean island of Tiree.
The newly created role combines management and direct project delivery work and would suit a candidate with relevant experience and a pro-active approach looking to take on a challenge in a unique, bustling and diverse community development environment. You’d join a strong established team with a track record of delivering ambitious capital projects, with the goal of ensuring the sustainable development of a small island community, making Tiree the best possible place to live, work and grow.
Our current projects include developing community housing solutions, supporting veterinary services in our predominantly crofting community, operating and further developing community-owned renewable generation, working towards community-led plans to adapt to climate change, and continuing to operate key services such as a local broadband network, tourism information service, light commercial business units and the community filling station.

Community Development & Engagement - Dumfries

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are now accepting applications for our Community and Engagement Team Members - Parenting Focus. This role will be responsible for engaging with parents with experience of care and the people and professionals that are in direct contact with expectant and new parents with care experience.
Role
The Team Member will be responsible for our work in Dumfries supporting parents who have been impacted by care. Our aim is to reach all expectant and new parents with care experience in Scotland and ensure they are aware of what is being offered through The Village and our other Why Not communities. The Team Member will use a variety of approaches, communication methods and platforms to maximise engagement, including both in person and digital options. This particular team member role will have a specific geographical focus and lead to developing links and engaging parents in identified locations. The Team member will work closely with statutory sector and health staff, as well as voluntary sector groups to build knowledge of our work and identify and engage with parents. The team member will work closely with the peer mentoring lead, supporting recruitment of peer mentors within the specified area.

Working as part of the member support team, this role will provide advice and support to our members (primarily in the Highlands, Western Isles and Aberdeenshire) build relationships and contribute to the growth of the development trust movement.
This role will involve hybrid working from home and office, with travel throughout the country.
