Deaf Action is a deaf-led charity, supporting and celebrating deaf people. We were established in 1835 and work with deaf people across Scotland and the South of England. Our work is geared towards empowering all deaf people to achieve their potential and fully participate in society, with equality of rights, access and opportunity.

About you
The Befriending Coordinator will be someone with strong organisational skills, patience, a process driven approach to tasks and a desire to help some of the most vulnerable and isolated members of our community. The role requires communication with both users of British Sign Language and English, so professional competence in both languages is essential.
The ability to manage both time and workload is a must, as is the ability to work independently in addition to contributing to the efforts of the wider team.

The role
The Befriending Coordinator post will report to the Wellbeing Coordinator.
The post will be responsible for coordinating the volunteers and service users for our face to face and online befriending services across Scotland.
