Role

We are blessed at Dunfermline East to be a thriving and growing congregation, with a large proportion of children and young people and skilled volunteer teams. We now have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual to use their gifts and skills in helping us to make a difference in the lives of the people in our parish and community.

This is a leadership role, co-ordinating our existing ministry with children and young people, developing our teams and creating opportunities for children, young people and families across our parish to be introduced to Jesus and become disciples.

This is a hands on role, working with our existing groups, and leading the development of new initiaitves within our local schools and the wider parish. An element of this work will be engaging with children and young people with Additional Support Needs and their families.

You will bring a collaborative approach with experience of leading new initiatives and working positively with volunteers which will enable you to work with us in developing our connections in the community, so that children, young people and families have the opportunity to find faith in Jesus Christ.

We want to enable as wide a range of candidates to apply as possible and so we are open to applications being submitted on a full or part-time basis as well as flexible working.

It is an essential requirement of this role that the post-holder is a committed Christian with a live Church connection which is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010.
