Role
The Park Authority is working with the National Lottery Heritage Fund and over 70 partners on its Cairngorms 2030 (C2030) programme. Inspired by the Gaelic word Dùthchas – meaning the deep-rooted connection between people and nature – Cairngorms 2030 will put the power to tackle the climate and nature crisis in the hands of people who live, visit and work in the UK’s largest national park.
Through 20 long-term projects, the Cairngorms will become the first national park in the UK to reach – and go beyond – net zero carbon emissions. We will do this by:

The Role:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainable Transport Officer to join the Park Authority.
Reporting to the Sustainable Transport Manager, you will provide coordination and support for the development and implementation of the Place and People theme projects focusing on Active Travel.
The postholder will contribute to the delivery of the Active Travel and Sustainable Transport projects included in the Cairngorms 2030 programme.

About You:
To be considered as our Sustainable Transport Officer, you will have:
- Experience and knowledge of Active Travel infrastructure design, development and construction, preferably in the rural context.
- Experience and knowledge of delivering sustainable travel initiatives and solutions including undertaking STAG studies, public transport, community transport or multi modal journey initiatives.
- Project management experience, including managing short-term contracts with specific experience of contracting and managing active travel and path design specialists.
- Experience of working in partnership with a range of stakeholders in the public and private sector.
- Experience of undertaking consultation with partners, interest groups and coordinating community engagement events
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentational
- IT skills – word processing, spread-sheets, databases
- Full UK driving licence or access to driver if disability prevents driving.
- Permission to work in the UK

As Lead Stroke Nurse – Borders, you’ll play a vital role in helping people move from simply surviving to truly living. You’ll join Scotland’s leading charity supporting people with chest, heart, and stroke conditions to live life to the full.
Our Stroke Nurse service is part of CHSS’s Community Healthcare Support services, offering person-centred care underpinned by self-management principles for individuals and families affected by stroke. The Stroke Nurse will work in close partnership with the NHS Borders Stroke Service, ensuring seamless support across hospital and community settings.
In this role, you will manage a caseload of stroke patients, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will lead and support a team of Stroke Nurses and Health Care Assistants, ensuring that service delivery meets organisational standards and performance targets. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement in line with our No Life Half Lived strategy.
We’re looking for a clinically qualified professional who is registered the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of stroke care and patient support, along with proven experience in a management role. A management or leadership qualification is desirable but not essential.

The Hospital is situated on the outskirts of Melrose in the Scottish Borders. The Borders covers a large and scenically beautiful area of the Southern Uplands of Scotland. The Scottish Borders offers all the benefits of rural life with very easy access to major cities such as Edinburgh (37 miles) Glasgow (75 miles) Newcastle (75 miles). The Borders Railway has train services to central Edinburgh running every thirty minutes (journey time 50 minutes approx.). Tweedbank Station is a few minutes’ walk from the Borders General Hospital. There are rail links to the rest of the country at Berwick Upon Tweed, and Carlisle and there is easy access to Edinburgh Airport (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes) and Newcastle Airport (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes).

About Sunny Cycles
Sunny Cycles is a community-focused cycling organisation which enables people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of cycling and cycling activities. Founded in 2022, we support mental health, social inclusion, and accessibility by providing led rides, cycling lessons, adaptive cycling for disabled people, and creating welcoming spaces for refugees and New Scots. We operate a community hub at Glasgow Green, and Victoria Park offering free or low-cost cycling sessions for individuals facing financial hardship, social isolation, or discrimination. We provide adapted bikes for those who cannot ride standard 2 wheelers and work with individuals and groups within the community to enable people to experience the mental and physical benefits of cycling.
Sunny Cycles operates as a registered charity and a social enterprise. As we grow, we are looking for a Development & Enterprise Officer who can strengthen our income generation pathways and support the long-term sustainability of our work, including our expanding work with disability and care-home cycling programmes.
Role Purpose
The Development & Enterprise Officer will lead on developing and delivering income-generating opportunities that support Sunny Cycles’ mission. This includes building partnerships, developing commercial activities, strengthening our social enterprise offer, managing budgets and ensuring financial sustainability so we can move away from grant funding.

You are responsible for oversight of the TSDG community transport programme, the priorities of which are identified by the Community Transport Strategic Development Group (CTSDG). The role requires work across many of TSDG’s thematic areas including; Communities and Sector Support, Employability, Skills and Learning and Local Economies and Enterprise.

As part of the Lead Officer Group, you will also actively participate in shaping our ways of working at TSDG.
What You’ll Do
- Continue development and delivery of a multi-year plan for the design of a regional community transport model for Dumfries and Galloway.
- Build a business case for structures and a choice of viable operating models, including the development of a region-wide social enterprise for community transport.
- Actively partner with the local authority, regional transport partnership, NHS, enterprise agency, transport partners, the third sector and communities, to facilitate integration of community transport.
- Incorporate partnership outcomes and regional transport strategies in to planning, programme design and outcomes.
- Manage project reporting, including for the CTSDG, Community Planning Partnership, SLT and Board.
- Remain up to date with national and regional policy relevant to third sector organisations working in, or aligned to, transport and community transport, community connections, health and wellbeing and the social/local economy.
- Manage the Connecting Communities Development Officer.

- Build strong, positive relationships with third sector organisations and partners across Dumfries and Galloway to support improved connectivity and community-led opportunities.
- Work with partners to develop community volunteering and employability opportunities alongside our community transport sector and Strategic Development Group.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and develop collaboration between the third sector, statutory, and community voices to share learning and influence planning.
- Capture and share insights, case studies, and good practice to inform local priorities and improve access to support, including funding.
- Demonstrate and communicate the impact of community transport to a range of audiences, including raising public awareness.
- Represent TSDG and the third sector at relevant partnership and community meetings.
