Role

Every day people with chest, heart and stroke conditions are leaving hospital scared and alone. You can be part of our mission to make sure that there is no life half lived in Scotland.

By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as an Executive Support Officer, you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.

You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions to live life to the full again. Our Hospital to Home services form a nationwide network of local support groups, nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.

This is a great time to join CHSS as we begin the journey to deliver our new 5-year strategy, ensuring that No Life is Half Lived for those of us who are living with the impact of a stroke, heart or lung disease or the long-term consequences of COVID.

If you see yourself as being the kind of person who wants to play a pivotable part in the implementation of our strategy, being the person who can provide expert level administrative and governance support for the Chief Executive Officer, our Trustees, and the wider organisation, and be a key player in ensuring our decision making is well supported and informed, we’d like to hear from you. If successful, you will work closely with the CEO to ensure that there are efficient corporate governance arrangements in operation within CHSS and be at the centre of how we deliver our strategy.

CHSS employees enjoy a variety of organisational benefits including: Company pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, company sick pay, employee welfare support and life assurance.
