Core purpose of the role
To provide advice and support to women and their families facing financial insecurity with the aim of helping to reduce the impact of the financial difficulties they are experiencing.
Raise awareness of the impact of poverty and the cost of living crisis on women and their families through the delivery of training and events to other professionals within the voluntary/public sector and the wider community.
As this post is funded by the Scottish Illegal Money Lending Unit, the post will have a focus on raising awareness of how illegal money lending and other related issues impact local communities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Scottish Illegal Money Lending Unit team and specific training will be provided on the topic of illegal money lending.
