Role

The Park Authority is working with the National Lottery Heritage Fund and over 70 partners on its Cairngorms 2030 (C2030) programme. Inspired by the Gaelic word Dùthchas – meaning the deep-rooted connection between people and nature – Cairngorms 2030 will put the power to tackle the climate and nature crisis in the hands of people who live, visit and work in the UK’s largest national park.

Through 20 long-term projects, the Cairngorms will become the first national park in the UK to reach – and go beyond – net zero carbon emissions. We will do this by:

  • Transforming the way land is managed and used to benefit people and nature.
  • Empowering communities to shape the future of their local area.
  • Making getting around the Cairngorms easier, safer and greener.
  • Fostering healthier, happier communities with wellbeing at their heart.

We are opening recruitment for the post of Knowledge Exchange Coordinator which one of several posts to deliver this programme.

We now have an exciting opportunity for Knowledge Exchange Coordinator to join the CNPA and collect, collate, analyse and report on the monitoring and evaluation data for the C2030 projects.

The Role:

As the Knowledge Exchange Coordinator you will support the design and implementation of a comprehensive, effective monitoring and evaluation framework for the C2030 Programme, the CNPA’s Corporate Plan and its coordination of the National Park Partnership Plan.

You will develop indicator methodologies and collect monitoring and evaluation data, check that schedule and consistency of data collection is adhered to, carry out surveys and in person data collection and explore different approaches for data collection that are appropriate to different data subjects/ communities. Meaning that you will have a real understanding of the C2030 Programme and wider Corporate Plans.

About You:

To be considered as our Knowledge Exchange Coordinator, you’ll need:

  • Experience of data collection and management;
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentational;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support others with following procedures;
  • Ability to solve problems and tenacity in overcoming issues;
  • IT skills – word processing, spread sheets;
  • Permission to work in the UK

Experience of engaging with a wide range of people; experience of data analysis and presenting the information; IT skills – data bases, Microsoft 365 apps including SharePoint, Lists would be beneficial to your application.
