Safer Communities Youth Action Project
Tamfourhill Tenants and Residents Organisation (SCIO) are long- established and have embedded strong relationships, networks and reliability throughout the local community. The TTRO is widely recognised as a provider of quality and relevant community services and activities which are focussed upon tackling poverty and isolation, building community cohesion and supporting significant community development projects.
The Safer Communities Youth Action Project is a legacy of the Our Place Projects Community Safety Strategy: Camelon & Tamfourhill will be a safer, happier and more attractive place to live.
The TTRO now require a part time Youth Outreach Worker to support the work of this Youth Project and its development throughout Camelon, Tamfourhill and Bantaskin . The Post is initially for 1 year and is funded through the Falkirk Community School Fund. The Youth Outreach worker will work closely with the Youth and Community Development Worker and will be expected to support the Twilight Sports programme which is delivered throughout Camelon and Tamfourhill on Friday nights, engage with young people in public spaces, support the delivery of activity programmes and accredited groupwork and to encourage a Youth Action approach.
