Phoenix Futures at Harper House, National Specialist Family Service have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to gain experience working in psychosocial treatment for substance use.

The Role:

As a Care Team Manager, you will support people at Harper House to reach their goals and change their lives for the better. You will be part of a passionate and skilled team, contributing to the provision of person-centred interventions and recovery approaches that are tailored to the needs of individuals and families.

You will be a passionate, motivating and nurturing leader, with experience of leading and supervising staff teams. You will also work in conjunction with the Therapeutic Team, Childcare Team and Clinical Lead to ensure the planning and running of day to day activities goes smoothly including supporting with external appointments, medication as per policy and health, wellbeing and social activities and interventions etc. This is a varied role which is key to the workings of the entire service model, and as you will be supervising both day and night care workers you maybe required to complete some evening work, to support them with their training and practice development.

About You:

To join us as a Care Team Manager at Harper House, you will need:

  • Relevant experience of working in health and social care, ideally within the field of problematic substance use, mental health or another comparable field
  • Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of the client and service
  • Evidence of managing a busy caseload or tasks and excellent organisational skills
  • To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with database management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understand complex issues presented by people entering a residential setting
  • Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support
