Purpose of role
The Advice and Information Service is a long established, national service within One Parent Families Scotland. We give support and advice to single parents and practitioners on a wide variety of topics; whether that be about money, their home, children, relationships, health and wellbeing or even work, training and education. We work over several online channels to provide this advice including telephone, webchat, email and social media.
A new opportunity has arisen within our Advice and Information team for an Advisor with a debt focus. As well as supporting parents through our existing online channels, you will be responsible for answering enquiries on a range of topics; however, you will be the lead on addressing debt enquiries. You will also get the opportunity to build relationships with local and national organisations involved in debt provision. You will get to add to our policy and campaigns by highlighting and collecting information about the topics most important to single parents, specifically in relation to debt.
*Location: Hybrid working style: working from home & office base over 3 days per working week, with travel over Scotland 1 day per working week within community bases. The Advice and Information Service has an office located in Glasgow city centre. Expenses will be given for travel according to OPFS policy.
