We are looking for someone with experience in procurement to take the lead in the procurement and management of our business contracts and assist with various other activities in business management. This is currently being offered as a temporary role to cover maternity leave.
We are a small training provider based in Edinburgh. We deliver SVQs and Short Courses for the Social Care and Childcare sectors.
We hold a contract with Skills Development Scotland (SDS) to deliver modern apprenticeships in Social Care and Childcare qualifications. This contract makes up a significant percentage of our business and therefore the successful management of it is crucial to our success as an organisation. Management of this contract includes procurement activities, liaising with SDS contract personnel and other key staff, monitoring performance and claims and adhering to SDS quality and compliance standards. Some experience with SDS contract management would be ideal but is not necessary.
The successful applicant will also be required to assist in the management of other existing contacts as well as seeking out opportunities to tender for new business, completing and submitting tenders in partnership with senior management.
There will also be a role in managing our facilities contracts and assisting in quality assurance, organisational standards and planning. The successful applicant will assist in maintaining the organisations policies and procedures in partnership with senior management. They will also be responsible for monitoring performance, creating annual reports and presenting information to the organisation’s management committee.
