Role

Barnardo's Children's Rights and Advocacy Service has been established in Fife for more than 20 years. The provision supports children and young people aged 0-18 years of age who are Looked After at Home or Away from Home, experience complex health/disability needs, or are detained under mental health legislation, through the provision of rights representation, advocacy, and rights advice & information.

An opportunity has arisen within this service for you to join an established and committed team to provide Rights representation for the children and young people of Fife as described above. You will have an opportunity to become part of and develop the service to ensure that Children's Rights are at the centre of decision making in Fife.

An experience of Rights and/or Advocacy work would be extremely desirable as would an ability to engage with children, young people and partner agencies. An understanding or knowledge of legislation surrounding UNCRC, the Promise and the Children's hearing system would be really helpful.
